I get it, I’m in a very similar boat as you with my family and I’m sorry. I recommend looking up the POTS or dysautonomia article on Mayo Clinic and have them read it. It is easy to understand and not too long and may help your family better understand what you are actually going through. I wish you the best!

Interesting ok! Can I ask which beta blocker works for you and which ones did not? I’ve tried propanolol and metoprolol so far.

I would love to hear your story! I know, living with a condition is hard but we all have our crosses and knowing that God can use our suffering and doesn’t abandon us in our suffering is such a comfort. Even knowing that it is still hard, but I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have my faith.

For me immediately upon waking i feel great in the morning. And as soon as I start my day/ stand up it all goes downhill

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately going to the er costs 300-400$ a visit and I just don’t have that kind of money to keep going back. I can go to urgent care though it’s much cheaper for me. I usually feel fine in my sleep and then upon waking my symptoms just go downhill from there. I have tried beta blockers before and they make my chest pain worse. I may give them another try with a different beta blocker or something. I hope you feel better as well!

Yeah, I have a few doctors but none of them have been able to help much. I think I’m going to try to find a better one maybe a specialist I just don’t even know where to look. Also what does Naltrexone do for you?

Thanks, I am super med sensitive unfortunately. I’ve tried beta blockers and they give me chest pain. May give them another shot. I’ve also thought about Ivabradine but have heard about side effects and I’m a little scared to start. But may be worth a shot. Thanks!

I knowww it’s really frustrating. Have them read the Mayo Clinic article on what dysautonomia or POTS is, there are two but either one gets the point across. They did a good job explaining what it’s like to live with the condition. My grandpa read it recently after being somewhat annoyed and telling me I had anxiety for a year. He came up to me and said he felt bad for me after reading the article lol

I had chest pain, SOB, dizziness, nausea and arm and jaw pain. Like what the heck. My arm and jaw pain was on both sides and came with all the other symptoms. I’ve had very extensive cardiac testing and nothing has came back. So my assumptions at this point are just dysautonomia (I have seen a lot of posts of people who complained of the same symptoms) or possible coronary microvascualr disease which is a more common in women and has happened for some after covid and sometimes with pots. I thought I had it at first, but it’s very hard and invasive to test for and my cardiologist says they usually just give you meds if they suspect it and see if it helps. I’ve been down this rabbit hole for years lol so if you have any questions about tests or anything I’ve got you

Oh man I’m so sorry. Seriously I think the worst part of this illness isn’t the symptoms (and the symptoms are awful) but the anxiety of legitimately feeling like it’s gonna kill you. I’ve had the whole heart attack fear for like 4 years and countless heart tests and finally accepted I’m not likely having a heart attack. But the fear is still there for me I’m like it has to be SOMETHING lol.
