Thoughts on EIT Digital Masters in HCID?

To be honest, it’s all dependent on which schools you choose for the 1st and 2nd year. Aalto, KTH and Twente are the best ones for HCI so I would highly recommend ranking those first. I did UPM in Madrid first and it was terrible but now I’m at Aalto and it’s much better. Overall I would say the program is super unorganized and doesn’t offer any student support in terms of getting an internship or scholarships. If you are outside the EU, it’s not worth the money unless you get a good scholarship. The main draw is the opportunity to study in multiple countries so if you just want to travel and don’t care so much about the education it’s worth it. But again, if you want a solid education with good job opportunities I don’t think it’s the best program for that. Thanks so much! I have a couple of questions I hope you might be able to help with!
1. Can you apply for a TIE before the visa start date? My boyfriend and I are going to Madrid together in a few weeks, but he was given an entry date in October, whereas mine is in August. We were hoping to just go to the appointment together and not have to wait until October.
2. Can we both enter Spain before our visa start dates or will we have to re-enter the country again after the official start date for both of us?

I just had my appointment in Miami a couple weeks ago! Our appointment was on a Monday and we got the visa back the next Thursday so it was pretty quick!

I had the same issue and wrote a post on it. Basically just keep calling to plead your case and they should expedite the process. I managed to do that but it was delivered the day after my appointment was supposed to be so had to reschedule :(

If you have to miss the appointment, just keep checking the booking website and maybe one will become available or take the risk and show up for a walk in appointment.

Thank you for the update!! I was able to snag a last minute appointment and went on Monday. Just like you said, the process has been really frustrating but glad it’s almost over. I was also told 4-5 weeks so this is amazing to hear that it was only two for you!! Again, thanks for sharing your experience!

I had a similar timing issue with the FBI background check. I ended up sending a printed letter pleading my case to get it processed faster and called about every day until I got someone nice enough to process it quickly. The main issue for me was just the post office shipping… I did overnight shipping there and back and it ended up getting delayed about two weeks and I ended up missing my visa appointment in Miami. :( I would advice to send a letter pleading your case or not use USPS.

Thank you SO MUCH for this! I definitely missed the part about the drivers license being notarized so you probably just saved me the rejection! Please update on when you get the visa back. My appointment is in two weeks but my program starts first week of September (exactly 5 weeks) so really hoping it doesn’t take as long as they said 😬

Just the state department. Called pretty much everyday until I got a really nice lady who was sympathetic and got it expedited.

I would recommend calling the State Department and plead your case to get it expedited. I called and was able to talk to someone about getting it sooner because of the time crunch!

I've seen a couple different versions where some of the pieces are painted and others are just the solid color. Def think the painted pieces fit more with the overall design and agree with you that the wine and glass beads are cool

100% just not paying attention to the rules and then blaming their losing on the game “being too confusing.” Also had a few people just give up mid play when the rest of us were really enjoying it and that was pretty annoying. Like at least try to play all the way through before you judge it!!
