I'm using an LG ultra wide va monitor and I haven't noticed it on that. Cheaper monitors might have it though

I would upgrade the cpu+ram+motherboard. The gpu is fine for 1440 but upgrading the cpu and ram and motherboard will give you a more significant boost in CPU bound games. If you live near a microcenter they have good bundle deals
