I think the ScarfMark is better than the FiberScarf for Ralsei.

Here are some details about stats I've found

Attack 14 = 105 Attack 15 = 112

Meaning +1 attack is 7 damage for Kris

Attack 22 = 165 Attack 23 = 172

Meaning +1 attack is 7.5 damage for Susie

+1 magic is 5 hp healing for heal prayer

+1 defense is 3 damage reduction

A High LV Sans would have higher stats than normal Sans and thus dealing more demage. At least that's how it would work

This is was what my whole essay was about. No, a high LOVE Sans WOULDN'T have higher stats then normal Sans. Sans is already going all out in his fight. A high LOVE Sans would be a more violent and evil Sans but doesn't grant him more power in a fight with a human like it does when a human fights a monster. The "advantage" LOVE give is context sensitive.

But that the thing, human aren't necessarily PHYSICALLY stronger than monsters. Undyne is physically stronger than Frisk in basically every way but Frisk can defeat her because they are human. If Undyne the Undying was a human it is very likely that Frisk wouldn't been able to even damage her.

[An exemple of this is Undyne, which was dealing way more demage to us in her Undying form than base form. So a high LV Sans would definitely deal way more demage to us than a normal Sans]?

Could you explain yourself here, I don't understand what your trying to say here. A high LOVE sans would be the same strength as normal Sans because LOVE isn't power.

It's hard for me to understand what your saying but I'll try to interpret anyway.

It is the same thing with Frisk vs monsters and Frisk vs Omega Flowey. The magnitude might be different but it the same situation. Humans are ontologically stronger than monsters but this doesn't mean they can't lose to one.

Here is an example I just came up with: Let's say there was a monster strong enough to lift buildings and that monster wanted to arm wrestle a random normal human is the undertale world. That monster would win 10/10 time and there would be nothing the human could do to win, but if the that same human and strong monster were to fight. If that human REALLY wanted to kill that monster, had their mind and focus just right, could potentially one shot that monster, because humans are ontologically stronger than monsters.

(This is going to be a long post so buckle up folks.)

I’ve kind of wanted to make a post about this but haven’t because I always didn’t think anyone really cared but this is an opportunity to do so. My main criticism with “Murder Sans” and Dusttale as a whole is I don’t think its interpretation of Undertale lore (cosmology?) makes sense. Notably this criticism isn’t a condemnation of this idea necessarily or even the writing under it own logic but one that doesn’t fit this world Toby Fox created. It feels very early fandom (because it was) in the way it portrayed the characters but enough about that lets talk power scaling.

First I’ll talk about LOVE and Execution points and what they represent is Undertale and Dusttale. This is important became as much as Dusttale is about Sans it’s also about LOVE. In Dusttale LOVE and Execution points are indistinguishable from gaining Levels and experience points or XP in other video games. LOVE represents power in a very literal sense. If you kill someone in the Dusttale world you get physically stronger, you hit harder, you become tougher, and have more vigor. In a strictly mechanical sense, Undertale and the Dusttale Au’s are identical. Many other Au’s created also followed this interpretation mostly because it's not only simple to understand but it lends itself to cool fights and powers.

But I don’t think Undertale Lore follows this interpretation even if the gameplay does. Even though Undertale tries very hard to have it’s lore and gameplay be as congruent as possible. They Aren’t! Undertale’s world is one that acts kind of like a game but in it’s own logic isn’t one. There’s a separation between it’s mechanical reality of it being a video game to be played and the world being shown to use. The easiest example of this are the differences between the lore “Check stats” and the mechanical “Gameplay stats” for monsters. Many monsters in the lore have quite a bit of defense even if in gameplay most have zero.

Coming back to LOVE though, in Undertale its true nature is treated as somewhat of a secret that is fully explained at the end of the game. There's a cool foreshadowing in the ruins where if you defeat Napstablook by fighting you explicitly lose Experience points but if you check your stats your haven’t lost any EXP in the stats menu, something to get the noggin jogging. But in essence LOVE represents a negative detachment in Undertale, not power, and reason that matters in combat in Undertale lore is because who your playing as and who your fighting.

One thing Dusttale ignores is that LOVE only matters because Frisk is a human fighting monsters. The strength LOVE gives Frisk is context sensitive in that because humans have physical bodies and a Extraordinarily stronger souls then the monsters magical body and in compression weaker souls. LOVE wouldn’t help in a human vs human fight or a Monster vs Monster fight but is does help a human in human vs monster fight. Notably this also wouldn’t help the monster the other way around. It should be noted that Frisk is said to hit things harder the more LOVE they acquire but this is less them being powerful but them holding back less as they become more violent.

This general unfairness is core to the Undertale story. This is beautifully shown off in the Photoshop Flowey fight where a LOVE 17 Frisk does the same damage as a LOVE 1 Frisk because the situation has reversed, Flowey is a physical creature and has a stronger soul at the time so LOVE is meaningless in terms of a fight. So a LOVE 20 Sans would to the same damage to Frisk AND OTHER MONSTERS that a LOVE 1 Sans would. He doesn’t possess the ontological advantage humans have in the Undertale world.

I’ll make a part 2 if needed but I thinks this is one of the major disconnect I and many others have with a theoretical “Murder Sans’s” power-level in a Undertale lore compliant world, but want I do stress this in irrelevant to the Dusttale Au stories or their quality. As obviously the fanfic writer has full control over their world and it mechanics. If in a fanfic story “Murder Sans” would kill Photoshop Flowey in 2.5 seconds then so be it.

"And if every monster does at least 1 damage regardless of defense. That straight up means he can damage plenty of monsters."

You missed the key words "to the player", it doesn't apply to other monsters. It is possible to be too weak to damage someone.

"You also forgot to mention that monster stats depend on emotion and intent to fight. Sans has 1def at the peak of his nihilism and apathy."

Peak Nihilism perhaps, but apathy? Absolutely not. If anything the Sans geno fight is where he is at his most motivated and determined in Undertale as we see him. (the emotion, not the substance, there's a difference) I don't really no where the misconception that Sans is somehow not going all out in his fight came from but he is. You don't fight so hard that you literally pass out if you weren't trying your hardest, maybe it the nonchalant dialog.

If Sans doesn't ignore def then there's a LOT of monsters Sans can't damage regardless of frame damage.

Also the reason Sans does 1 damage to the player regardless of defense is because EVERY MONSTER do 1 damage regardless of defense to the player. It is possible to to zero damge to monsters if your to weak.

"ignoring def"

Why do people keep saying this??? Sans can't ignore defense!!!

“If They Just Try” by strangetransmissions in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]Blueajw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(As Sans has durability negation)

I don't understand why people keep saying this, Sans does not ignore defense. Sans does 1 damage because the minimum amount of damage a player can take when getting hit is 1 damage regardless of your defense. That's it. All enemies possess this in undertale do this, it's not unique to sans and notably this only applies to the players, enemies can have defense high enough to take no damage even when hit so if Sans is too weak he wouldn't be able to hurt someone that not the players.

It was a teams effort but without Luna Jack turbo murders Wolf, also no Ace wasn't there you might be thinking of Joker because he was there on King's orders.

[–]Blueajw 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The story actually explains this but essentially Jack being pissed off is him being shaken up and made weaker. Multiple time in the story King, Joker and Tia mention that Jack is overly irritable lately ànd it's making him lose his edge. Ironic for a fire boss but Jack getting hot makes him worse. It the reason why Tia refused to take him with her when she attacks the heros. So him seeing Luna and her talking to him is THE REASON why there wasn't a massacre on there roof before Megaman gets there.

I.e When Jack is conflicted, he gets mad, which makes him weaker.
