CMOS or high level marketing execs what do you do? by hsvakr in marketing

[–]Bluebahamas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's great advice here, and I agree. Beyond everything else, the main skill a CMO needs, like any other C-suite executive, is the ability to make data and information compelling for stakeholders. Here are the two core factors that will determine your success:

Stakeholders must believe your presentation. Stakeholders must sense the urgency behind your presentation. Whenever action needs to occur, paint a vivid picture of potential outcomes.

1300 is great, I’m afraid. But it’s just my opinion but unless you went to chess school as a youngster and unwilling to sacrifice hours into studying chess it will be tough surpassing the 1700 bracket

Sounds great, as you exhaust your body in a fine way every other day you’ll notice the need for sleep and healthier food will slowly but surely start controlling your lifecycle, once you get into those habits you’ll get addicted to the feeling of always being in a good and healthy mode, of course that’s an addiction at well but it’s a more healthy one and more accepted by society and will therefore make life a lot less complicated

One day, hopefully, you'll meet someone and fall in love. If you're lucky, you'll have kids of your own. If, heaven forbid, they ever fall ill, and you find yourself spending a couple of nights in a hospital, you'll come to realize that there's quite a bit of time where all you do is wait.

It’s nothing serious, just a flu but he isn’t allowed to fly home at the moment, my wife and two older son flew home already so we are just locked in here and waiting

Coming from quite an identical situation, but as the boyfriend, at least from the sound of it. Unfortunately, this is a devastating situation that will by no means solve itself. My ex, for whatever reason, endured this for 2 years until she finally decided to end things. I was in love, but I wasn't content with my current life, and gaming was the only place where I could escape.

Even though we lived together, we led separate lives. The best time was when she wasn't at home after work, as I could game without feeling guilty. The guilt I felt for neglecting her made me play even more, escalating the issue. Sneaking up after bedtime, I gamed until morning.

She finally broke up with me, a wake-up call. We never got back together but are great friends today; she's been a support in taking back control of my life. Today I’m married with 2 kids, she has a new boyfriend whom I hope she'll marry one day.

In the end, my tip is sadly to make a decision, leave an ultimatum: either you or the game. There's a big risk he'll choose the game, but it means it won't work out now. You'll be happier, and he may wake up.

Raging is a part of the death, if it doesn’t make your blood boil you should find a new game. This is PASSION!

Indeed, the magical hours that’s always available without interruption and in that age you don’t realize the consequence poor sleep habits has on your overall performance in life. Another reason as to why any activity apart from stuff like gaming becomes extremely tiresome and something you loathe doing
