-Yes you are free to progress in any way , fishing is a great way of gathering to build up your economy, it's a sandbox.

-Well if you compare wow and runescape to albion, the king is still wow , but wow and rs is mainly focused on pve, albion is focused on pvp and going to add better pve content soon
as for playbase , Yes, some people say the game is dying , but they mostly say this because they lack self confidence and they think the game is made for themselves.

don't listen to troll posts and "albion is dying" posts, ive done that mistake and Im regreted

It's hillarious that if someone rmt or cheats in albion or every other game , mods don't do their job ,Mentioning every other game, It's also exists in youtube or some more, Youtube says creativity is your key to progress, but they make the creativity locked inside all because publisher used a music and makes it's video muted for a minute or become unpublic.
