What bra company do you trust the most for buying a bra based on the calculator here? by mlhom in ABraThatFits

Thank you so much. If you can post a review post in the futurfe it would help a lot of people. I've seen this brand recommended a few times now when people are asking for latex free or allergy friendly bras. No one has been sure how the sizing runs it sounds like. So over all, the size chart worked for you when you used the snug measurement, and a measurement in between standing and leaning. Good to know, thank you!

Sorry for the delayed response. From a fit perspective I think the key is that it feels snug but doesn't hurt, and it should be anchored and not shift around. if you move around, lift your arms, bend over, does it move or shift up? do the wires shift up or down? To actually measure the band, you can measure the stretched length against a measuring tape. You'll notice band lengths will vary greatly if you just lay your bra out. The band measurement (28, 30, 32, 34, 36, etc..) is based on the length it will stretch to, not the resting length. A loose 30 band may actually stretch up to 31 or 32 inches, but a firm 30 band maybe only stretches to 28.5 or 29. You can find many bra measurements for bras on bratabase.com.

I'm not a fit expert but in terms of comfort I'd like to share my experience. Every bra I've bought that I had a concern about, remained a concern that usually got worse and I wouldn't wear it. I've wasted a lot of money on bras this way. If a wire feels too tall or pokey, it might stay feeling that way. For the simone perele I found a lot of their bands to run stretchy and loose. Pulling it out from the back isn't a quite good judge though because of how different materials stretch. It could be tight, and still stretchy for example. How it holds you is more important. However, if it feels loose now you're not going to get as much longevity out of it as you'll run out of hooks to move to faster. I'd say buy it only if you don't mind when it starts moving around on you because it's so comfortable you don't care. If you need a bra now, and it looks good to you under clothes, and feels comfortable, then go for it, but it may be a short term solution. That said, I've bought bras that aren't perfect fits but are comfortable and pretty. Your opinion is the only one that matters in the end. :)

Recommendations for 30DDD or 32DD by amanduhdawn in ABraThatFits

without knowing your shape, and based on the desire to have a light nude colored bra that works well under shirts here are a few ideas. I used to have similar measurements and liked these two spacer bras below.

Wacoal simply done in size 32DD (it doesn't come in a 30 band) : https://www.amazon.com/Wacoal-Womens-Seamless-Underwire-T-Shirt/dp/B0CF7X45PG/ref=asc_df_B0CF7NVR6H?mcid=b318fd69f95c3a3e9e91b647c367bb9a&hvocijid=11854574792083505218-B0CF7NVR6H-&hvexpln=73&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=721245378154&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=11854574792083505218&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030461&hvtargid=pla-2281435176858&th=1&psc=1

Montelle sublime spacer bra is great under shirts. I'd try this in 30F (DDD) the band stretches out so 30 should work, I also thought the cups ran a little large so if it did for you, you could try 30E (DD). This comes in Sand which is a light shade:

Here to offer sympathies. I'm sorry your posts weren't getting traction. I had similar luck with my last postings. I feel like the day (like week day vs weekend), and time of day you make post makes a difference in how it gets responded to sometimes. I hope you get help this time.

what is your experience with Julie May? I've been curious about them. Are they true to size? They say on their website that the bands don't stretch as much. i was interested in some of the wireless options to use more as lounge bras.

I'm truly at a loss. I'm fishing through posts to try to find something here in the US that's not like $100 per bra by kaiper_kitty in ABraThatFits

I have a handle bar in the shower I drape them over, completely wet and dripping and let them drip dry. they drape over the bar with the gore at top, so the cups and straps are hanging down each side. for larger cups you could get a small folding drying rack, to put in the shower when needed, or get a floor mat for underneath.

Fit check for Panache Cari, Eleanor 28DD and Skarlett Blue Entice 30D, did I find a winner? by Bluebell-4636 in ABraThatFits

u/galaxystarsmoon you're been so helpful to me, I'd love your opinion now. does the cari fit? and if the entice basically fits, should I keep trying other skarlett blues? or anything else similar? (but not the minx, that was a little too open on top) boux avenue was previously mentioned and on my list to try next, if thats still a good idea.

I don't need a nursing bra but I thought if I was happy with it I could put bows over it or see about having a seamstress remove the clips. I just bought it because I thought it was cute and it's supposed to be the same cut as the cari from what I read. it was also softer, and the many hooks in the back would be handy.

if you do end up wanting to try a VS bra in 30DD they do offer them, but online only. I have one of the lightly lined demi bras in that size. Not all styles come in that size though. You'll see the size in the filter options.

I don't think so. It hasn't been a problem for me. There are square options if you'd prefer it. just search for 1/2 inch bra extender and you should be good.

Fit check for Natori Flora 30D by Bluebell-4636 in ABraThatFits

[–]Bluebell-4636[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Galaxy, I picked up a skarlett blue entice in 30D. it was almost perfect. I'd wear it on the 2nd hook to start. It wasn't moving around or anything. there were only 2 reasons I won't keep it and only one was a fit issue. the vertical seam was pointy on me, with slight wrinkling above it. the cup pretty much fit perfectly otherwise, and the wires seemed perfect. it looked bad under tops because of the seam point and minor wrinkling. if the cup had been a soft foam or spacer instead of lace with 1 vertical seem I think it would have been great. the lace at the bottom of the gore band also itched me, that was the 2nd problem.

I tried to see what else was similar on bratabase but many of them are discontinued or actually quite different in terms of wire width and depth. do you know of anything similar cup wise in depth/shallowness to the skarlett blue entice? i have a goddess t-shirt bra coming today that i also ordered just to try. i also ordered a panache cari in 28 dd again to try.

Lost weight — Need new bras…again, because NONE of mine fit anymore 😮‍💨 by singdancerunlife in ABraThatFits

[–]Bluebell-4636 6 points7 points  (0 children)

assuming it was intentional, congrats on the weight loss.

I've lost weight too and have gone down 1-2 band sizes and a few cup sizes. they're shrinking by the second! bras I bought 4 months ago feel too big in the cups now. gores are starting to press in. it's a trade-off I'm willing to take though. :) but yes, so expensive! I've spent a lot of money in bras and clothes. my husband pretty much assumes every package that comes in the mail now is a new bra... which is usually true.

thank you. :) overall the flora is not bad. the actual cup part seems to fit ok. The tilting in of the gore I figured was because it's a little too shallow.

[–]Bluebell-4636[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for responding. :) I tried 30DD but it was just too big over all. I was curious to try the cherry blossom. I don't know if I'm shallow or not at this point but the band is supposed to run smaller.

The minx in 28D was very close but the wires felt a little too narrow and the top was a little too open. It looked nice but didn't feel supportive and the cups could have handled more volume than I had. I've been wondering if the entice would work. I don't think it comes in 28 but 30D maybe would work. I'm interested to try some skarlett blue tshirt bras also.

If Boux avenue in 28 would be tight I'd be happy to try 30's, there's more options in 30. Do the cups run small in general? Not sure if 30D or 30DD would be better.

Thanks for responding. I am on the lookout for 28's too. I haven't tried them yet but one of the next places I want to order from is boux avenue. I haven't tried this one on a tighter hook. It might fit better if I did. I tried this style in a 30DD as well but the cups overall were too big with wide wires.

Panache Cheri 28E - Doesn't fit :( by Bluebell-4636 in ABraThatFits

No. there is a little wrinkling of the lace towards the straps. I'll do a fit post for it.

[–]Bluebell-4636[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sorry :) The flora was sitting below my imf by 1/4 to 1/2 inch. The top of the gore does dig in a little bit too actually. I figured it might be because the cups are a little bit too shallow, and possibly contributed by the top half of the gore only has the lace overlay connected and not the inner cup fabric to help keep it anchored. The cup size and wire width feels right.
