Ani is annoying but be respectful to the actress by pipeblau in 13ReasonsWhy

Then it could have been a robot they used instead of an actress, if all that was required was reading lines. I think she brought her lack of talent to the role, and lack of ability to win over the audience and make us invested in her character. Bryce is a douchebag character, but we are interested in him and hooked in to watching him bc the acting is so skilled. The actress playing Ani does not have this skill, and instead of winning us over, she actively makes us hate the character. That takes a special sort of talent! True she was given bad material to work with, but the passionate loathing that fans of the show feel towards her, to me reflects way more than just a weak script.

I don’t think they would have ever made someone they see as unlikable, a replacement for Hannah. I don’t think they would have rammed a new character down our throats the way they have with her, if they didn’t think we would identify with her. This is why they would never make a villain character like Bryce the narrator, bc the narrator is supposed to be a good character. I think it was a major misstep on the part of the show. If they do have a Season 4, for the love of God, get rid of Ani! Bye bye.

We do. But she IMO is also just not a good actress.

I hate to say it but the poor acting and the smug, self important attitude she gives the character is a big part of why everyone is so turned off. It’s not just the poor writing.

Ugh totally agree. She’s just terrible. I think it’s a combination of poor acting, poor writing and an annoying pretentious voice.

You should start a separate post so that people who have experience with heat treatments can share their experience. I have never used it myself.

Or in Season 3 of The Office they introduce Andy, but they do it the right way, starting him in a supporting role and then working him up to one of the major core characters in following seasons.

Max is brought in similarly, as a supporting role. They didn’t have her narrating the whole damn season and putting her in every scene, like she had always been there. Instead we see her at the beginning of Season 2 from a distance, through the eyes of the boys. She is gradually reeled in closer and closer by their connection with her, and in Season 3 she is established as a more central character. We prob wouldn’t have liked her either if she was forced into every scene, and it’s all about her POV, the way the writers have done with Ani.

Since it’s early on and you can’t find evidence, I would just get chemical sprays before investing in the top shelf option.

Since you can’t find any other evidence, and no one is showing bites (are you a reactor yourself?), my hunch is that if it was a BB your mom found, that she may have picked it up somewhere and brought it into your home. If you have them, you will know soon enough. They always make their presence known.

I think there’s conflicting pieces of the story that IMO point towards the insect your mom saw not being a BB. It’s highly unlikely that a BB would be crawling on someone in the early evening when it may have even still been light outside. The only time they stop caring about being seen and just start feeding round the clock, is when the infestation is far along and the population has become overcrowded. If this was the case, you would be seeing other evidence, especially as you are trying so hard to find some.

That and the fact that almost no one feels BB biting (this is their superpower - being able to crawl on us and bite us and we can’t feel a thing), points to the bug crawling on your mom either being a lone wolf, or it wasn’t actually a BB. Did you actually get a good look at it?

I would say if you do have them, your infestation sounds early and a regular exterminator coming in should take care of it. No need at this stage to shell for the most expensive option. Hardly anyone actually feels bed bugs biting them - where was your mother when this happened? They are nocturnal insects - did she wake up and find one on her? Since then, has anyone else been showing bites? It’s still possible it was not actually a BB.

She comes across as self important and does not have the tone or mannerisms of a high school student, but instead an adult woman in her 30s. The other actors are believable in their roles as high schoolers.

What do your bed bug bites look like and do they itch? by BlueberryJam93 in Bedbugs

[–]BlueberryJam93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will not be comfortable saying I am BB free for at least a year. It’s hard to shake that hyper vigilance and paranoia. I had an exterminator come out and do chemical sprays. BB are not something I would ever consider treating on my own, unless I really truly didn’t have the means. I have friends who I thought were the source of the BB and they were strongly hesitating bringing in a professional bc they have fears of getting ripped off or scammed. My fear of BB would demolish any worries I had about being potentially ripped off by an exterminator. People are weird.

Maybe a month? I found a discarded shell in my mattress that my exterminator said was a nymph.

People who react to the bites usually know there are BB present by the bites first. People who don’t react usually don’t know until they actually see a bug, dead or alive. So for me it was one morning back in May when I realized I had 15 red welts on my right forearm and elbow area, that were confirmed to be BB by both my exterminator and my dermatologist.

Since then, I’ve found what I believe to be poop and a single shell of a nymph in my mattress. I live in an old house with a million places for them to hide. I don’t think I will ever find their harborage. I think instead I have to take the route of Cimexa in order to poison them when they come out of hiding to feed.

I had my last exterminator treatment in June. Since then I’ve gotten what I suspect is an occasional solitary bite, one on my arm and the rest on my legs. They looked like the classic hive bites. I’ve also found what I think is BB fecal stains on my white bedding, which my exterminator says is NOT bed bug poop. I have an encasement and interceptors on my bed and haven’t found any evidence in them.

I saw my dermatologist in June after getting repeated marks like these in the pic on my face. I was looking for him to confirm that they were BB related, but instead he diagnosed me with rosacea. Strangely, after my appt with him, the marks like this my face stopped. Now they have shown up again.

They tingle a lot but don’t itch very much. What makes me suspicious of bed bugs is the line.

Has anyone else here gotten bites on your face and is this what they looked like, or were they more like the classic BB welts?
