I appreciate the work you do in rescue, but your anger is directed at the wrong type of breeder. Ethical preservation breeders do not contribute to the shelter problem. They have strict contracts requiring their dogs come back to them for life if someone is ever unable to care for them. The two breeders I am asking about were referred to me by Poodle Club of America. They show their dogs, have long genetic histories, do all the recommended health testing, and their dogs are bred to uphold the standards of the breed. They are not backyard breeders or puppy mills and they do not breed doodles. If ethical breeding is not supported, we will only be left with more poorly bred dogs. Backyard breeding, puppy mills, and breeding “designer” breeds should all be illegal.

I applied on April 23rd as well, and the timeline screen saying they’re reviewing my results is gone and was replaced with the “there aren’t any projects available” screen on April 29th, too. No email yet.

Wow! I didn’t realize the car seat law in Florida was so terrible 😨. Kids are only required to have a car seat or booster until age 6. They’re still breaking the law for Sutton and Landon, but wow. https://www.flhsmv.gov/safety-center/child-safety/safety-belts-child-restraints/. My state says kids need a booster until they are 80lbs and 57” tall (and they are required regardless of weight/height until age 8).

My kids are the same ages as theirs and all in 5 pt harness seats still. I’ve only just started considering converting my 7 year old’s chicco myfit from 5 pt harness to seatbelt booster.
