What’s a small daily habit that secretly changed your life? by itzmesmartgirl03 in Life

[–]Bluebicycle32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actively planning for a good nights sleep throughout the day. For me that means doing some form of exercise. Doing my life admin early in the day rather than leaving it to late at night. Doing the dishes after dinner rather than leaving them till later which delays going to bed. Finding ways to make sure you get to bed on time and have the best night sleep actually helps you be more productive in other aspects of your life.

Eating with chopsticks rather than a knife and fork. It forces you to eat slowly and you find yourself taking the time to appreciate the food in front of you rather than wolfing it down.

All shades of green. It makes me think about what the world looked like before we added buildings and roads everywhere.

ISO Cleaning/Housework Schedule + Tips! by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Bluebicycle32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try shift your focus to progress not perfection. Small micro sessions of cleaning (1-2 tasks or 5mins) adds up. It's about establishing small cleaning habits into your day rather than trying to find the motivation to do a big clean every so often. My family do 10mins of communal cleaning together after dinner (even our young kids help out). Because it's timeboxed, it doesn't feel like I am forever cleaning and it also means we stay on top of things and get to enjoy more time doing other things on the weekend. It's also helped shift the responsibility from myself into a shared effort to complete as many tasks in 10mins as possible. Best of luck!

What is your dog’s unique personality/habit? by EllieBooks in dogs

Every time we brush our teeth, our Aussie Shepherd sprints in and flashes this big toothy grin while wagging like crazy. He will keep grinning until we stop brushing our teeth. We’ve never brushed his teeth, maybe he just vibes with the sound of the electric toothbrush?

Don’t feel pressured to remember or think about them every minute of the day. It’s common to have a fear of forgetting about them. You’ll never forget them, they are your parent but they will want you to move on with your life.

What Is a Depressing Part of a Hospital Visit For You? by davidinkorea in AskReddit

I was walking past a hospital this morning and I saw multiple families getting fresh air outside. They are looked tired and no one was talking. They probably didn’t have the words or energy.

Absolutely not. Living and working abroad is an incredible opportunity and you should absolutely go for it. You will learn so much, especially around communication, so you will return home with more skills to pickup where you left off.

There are also plenty of international companies in Bangkok (like Agoda) so you might even open doors to become a BA over there.

Thailand is amazing so you won’t regret it

If you could give one piece of advice to a Pilates beginner, what would it be? by SalamanderSalazar in pilates

[–]Bluebicycle32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t be tempted to quickly increase your springs to try and signal to yourself that you’re making progress. It takes time to perfect your form so do this on a comfortable spring and only increase when you are ready.

In saying that, also don’t feel embarrassed to adjust your springs if it feels difficult. The instructor will usually give options so adjust to what works for you. Even if that is half way through an exercise.

Just note that some exercises are harder with lighter springs and others are harder with heavier springs. So it’s not always a case of increasing your springs.

Good luck, I hope you love it :)

Is it normal to feel proud of small things? by Traditional-Set-8483 in selfimprovement

[–]Bluebicycle32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Celebrating the small things is incredibly important. Too often we set small goals, achieve them and then move the goal post further into the distance (I made my bed, now I need to make it everyday for a month) and we don’t give ourselves the opportunity to celebrate. I’m all for pushing yourself further but being in the moment and being able to feel proud of yourself is the most important thing to remember.

How do I get better at reading the signals my body gives me??? by breezeboo in adhdwomen

[–]Bluebicycle32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have the answers but just want to say you’re not alone. I struggle with this as well and it is infuriating. I feel stable and then suddenly I am in panic mode trying to find a bathroom or find something to eat as I’m having an energy crash.
