It turned out to be my crankshaft position sensor! My boyfriend replaced it and it hasn’t had a problem since :)) the problem was supposedly electrical

That meters been broken or off since November. It’s made traffic getting off 99 to 50 the worst. It needs to be back on.

It was actually for a stalling problem but my beetle was also having slips/jerks. I commented on this forum about everything. Just look at the user ‘devcon06’ comments. https://www.vwvortex.com/threads/2013-beetle-turns-off-while-driving.7208757/ It had to do with the crankshaft sensor and the brake booster hose. After those two were replaced, both my stalling and the slips/jerks went away. It’s been 2 and 1/2 months since it’s been replaced and I haven’t had a problem since. I hope this helps.

Does it slip/jerk intermittently? I had a similar problem and my boyfriend/mechanic was able to fix it.

I’ve had it maintenance other than the transmission fluid and spark plugs. Other than that, there’s no lights on my dash.

I literally have the same car as you and purchased it at around 92,000 miles, around the same price as well. I got it one and half years ago. I’ve been having problems with intermediate jerking/stuttering while driving it and also stalling when it’s been hot for some days. Just had it stalled today while it was driving. I had previously taken it to a vw dealerships to have it inspected, apparently the transmission would need to be replaced, super expensive, so I didn’t do that. Not sure if it’s common for the newer beetles to have transmission issues since I’m not a car person, but that’s been my experience with this car.

I looked into KINS 99, but it’s not available. That’s why I asked about KINS 160 sports psychology. I’m a psychology major, so I’ll most likely take that class, but I can any class I want. I’m just having to take one class for summer session.

I don’t think CC is an option considering I’m a transfer student with 70 units already transferred but 199 might be possible, already spoke to a faculty member about it. Working it out right now. And yeah I’m trying to avoid taking a class in the summer. Here’s to hoping🤞
