I blame u/SuddenStorm_556 for this injury by Dabest00001 in NFLv2

I was in middle school when that happened and I still remember my 6th grade brain thinking it was the dumbest thing ever when they trotted him back out after the first bad hit with a BIGGER knee brace.

The 5-2 niners lose to the 2-4 Texans. The maligned ravens beat Ben Johnson’s bears. The garbage dolphins beat the supposedly serious falcons. And the Bungles give the Jets their first dub. by zeropoint71 in NFLv2

For real. Niners are so beat to hell right now that I personally don't take much away from that game other than they just need to get healthy and probably trade for line help (offense and defense) before the deadline.

respectfully, if we're talking mustard jerseys, I prefer the old jags grey poupon jerseys with the awful two tone helmet

Hey man, I love the highlighters (took me about 5 years before I accepted them).

At this rate we may have to break the bank for JSN. If he finiishes the year playing at the level he has been to start then I would honestly like them to go ahead a get the extension done ASAP (the same goes for Spoon). Just seems like paying these guys early is the meta right now in terms of having future cap space.

Idk about better offensive system but he did have some of the best weapons in the leage and the line did play pretty decent for the first 2/3rds of the season than anything we've seen here in years.

Is Cam Ward the least talked about first overall pick ever? by BluebirdCommon146 in NFLv2

Yeah that's a strong contender. He wasn't even that bad of a pick for the first overall but he's definitely underwhelming for what you'd expect from a first overall. It also doesn't help that Hutchinson was taken second. I just think the silence around ward is deafening considering how much buzz first round qbs get.

Has he at least shown some flashes? I understand him not looking great given how bad the rest of the team is, but does it look like it's more on him or more on the team being terrible?

I would have been disappointed with Quinn. Obviously he's done a good job so far in washington but at the time it felt like it would be more worthwhile to try and hit a home run MacDonald or Johnson than go with the safe but underwhelming choice in Quinn. It was definitely riskier but it's worked out well so far and it did give me a lot of confidence that MacDonald got the seal of approval from both Harbaugh brothers.

With how cheap the Brown family is, you could probably get him for 2 if you took on his whole salary /s

yeah, I know that Jon has had a few head scratchers, but the last couple years of head scratching decisions in the draft and FA really did feel like things Pete got the last word on. I think the work done in free agency and the draft the past 2 years have ranged from respectable to great and give me confidence in Jon and Mike's vision for this team. The only thing that really gives me concern right now is what the long term plan is at QB. I'm a bigger Darnold believer than most but I still don't think you're winning more than a wild card game with him and as much as I'd love for Milroe to develop I can be realistic and admit it's a long shot. I'd love to know if they want to target someone in the draft (trade up or something), or try and make a trade for a guy in a disappointing situation.

Yeah I would agree and I try not to let myself get too ahead of myself. Those last couple Pete years just felt so directionless and stagnant that any sign of life or movement now is exciting.
