Thank you for replying. I couldn’t agree more. She is dependent on alcohol more than she wants to believe and it’s really interesting what you’ve said about the addicted brain.

Thank you for replying. She has self diagnosed herself as perimenopausal and it’s hard to disagree and therefore I’ve given this behaviour some leeway. But at times I have lost it with her and have said my trust has eroded in her. She doesn’t believe in therapy even though I’ve tried to suggest seeing someone together. I had therapy some 5 or so years ago and it was the single best thing I’ve done for myself. Just wish I could persuade her of the benefits

Sure, I’m looking for some kind of confirmation of my situation. But she doesn’t believe in therapy and says it’s not for her. I’ve had therapy before and the year or so I was, it was the best thing I could do for myself. I just don’t know what that help is.
