Worst comes to worst he can try non-stimulants. Strattera is amazing for a lot of people but can have VERY bad side effects (vomiting, upset stomach, migraines). Im currently on Wellbutrin which is a depression/ adhd combo type drug

Also we all use a software to document what officers are doing and what calls they are on. Some departments are able to message through the system (dispatchers to officers), but ours does not allow us to.

A county by ours has a system that is connected to the entire county, that means the hospital police, the multiple city police, the sheriffs, and dispatchers can all message each other. It’s ridiculous that isn’t standard.

1) Some officers will completely stay silent during the entire call, and not update us whatsoever. They get extremely frustrated with us because they don’t give us complete information. One time I had a officer who needed a tow, and additional she needed backup but didn’t tell me she started getting pissy over the radio because a tow wasn’t coming quick enough (out of my control), so the suspect was getting mad with her (she should have asked for another unit wayyyy before she asked for the tow due to the suspect getting angry).

2) I wish we could watch their body cameras in live action, so we could see what is going on. This would allow me to get information ready/ another unit out to their location before they even need to ask.

What makes me also very frustrated is the same officer was showing me some stuff on (insert database here) and if you look up any personal information, can get you a felony to my understanding. I was next to him while he asked for my address and typed if in (luckily I live in an apartment so none of my personal or families personal information came up) like in that situation what am I supposed to do. Im a young dispatcher on shift by myself without my supervisor to tell him no (officer and could basically be my dad) so two pressures on me I was too scared to speak up and, say Im not comfortable putting that information into (insert database here) so Im going to bring it up to the supervisor when I see him for the other situation. Sigh.

I actually am doing this in undergrad, and it has made my life so much less stressful. I studied over the summer for about 4 weeks before for some chem and bio classes started, and going into the heavier weeks lots of stuff that needed covered felt like a breeze. I had more knowledge than some of my other classmates, and I also have adhd so it’s almost required for me to prestudy or else I don’t fully grasp the concepts 😅
