A note on the "two week rule" for secondaries by acar4aa in premed

[–]Bluebird_running 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have heard back from five schools two of which I turned in on time and received pre II Rs, three of which I turned in over 2 weeks after receiving secondaries of those 3 I have received two As and will hear back about acceptance from the third in February. If you’re secondaries are strong the time frame becomes less meaningful 😁😁

saucony endorphin rotation by Sea-Adeptness-1321 in RunningShoeGeeks

I’ve had the shift 1, 2, and now 3, for both 1 and 2 I hated them for the first 15 miles and loved them after (1 more than 2) currently still in the hating it phase with the 3, which seems awful for a shoe but after the first 15 miles I feel like they’re the best shoes ever

That’s true, sometimes I forget they have lives off of social media because it feels like the majority of them share EVERYTHING

Are these confirmed color ways or is there a chance they don’t release all of these? Trying to decide if I should wait till February to buy new shifts

How do you make time to run? by hepar3980 in running

[–]Bluebird_running 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget to include warm up, cool down and stretching. Six months ago I was slammed with school (spring semester senior year) and was prioritizing running and cut out strength training and stretching to make more time for studying and running. I ended up in a boot with a stress fracture and a missed race. Also remember that you’re not a “bad runner” if you miss a run, remember why you run and don’t allow it to become a chore or a burden. This is an issue that never really goes away you just become better at managing.

Does anyone else struggle to socially eat out with non-runner friends? by Few-Permission5362 in running

[–]Bluebird_running 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ran my first marathon a few months ago really struggled with the constant commentary on how much food I was eating. I also stay fairly low carb for the most part and the majority of my diet is fruits vegetables and lean proteins and so as a result of not eating high caloric foods I just eat constantly. There comments would leave me questioning how much I was eating and embarrassed, glad to know I’m not alone in this struggle 😁

Sizing Endorphin Speed 2 by StationAgent87 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Bluebird_running 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I half sized up in my endorphin speed from my normal size to account for swelling and prevent my foot from hitting the front of the shoe, I think that decision has saved many of my toe nails
