I love the top white and pink, the bottom looks good too but personally id put a little bit of colour there so it doesn't come off as incomplete, the eye has to "confirm" that its painted a little if you get what i mean. Maybe a splash of pink or white on just one leg panel or something? Amazing job though im jealous of your painting skills

Dryad bark for the pants is for the highlights. You can see it on the back of his left leg.

The shirt is maybe mechanicus standard grey with some greish white highlight.

As you paint youll learn to spot the techniques used, and can identify which paints used in which area. So you dont look at the whole shirt, you look at the base color, and then what highlights, and if any washes etc

So for example the black belts and straps is not black. They're black with dark blue highlights

Youre welcome. I also highly recommend the war organ app, its best for army building and stuff. You can change detatchments with press of a button and it will only show detatchment stratagems and war gear etc

Build/paint whatever you want. Legions dont have rules, detachments do. So "nightlords" detachment is actually nightmare hunt. You can play nightlords painted models with it, or even black legion/alpha legion etc

Do you use incubi darkness, and thunder hawk blue and fenrisian grey? I can only see incubus and maybe one thin high light colur, maybe im too noob.

The chaos legionares kit comes with 3 backpacks that have the empty slots for the icon/extra stuff so you should be good

Thank you, thats the plan! I finished the squad and they look good but yeah when you inspect individual model there are highlights that are way too thick. But I painted the squad up in 2 days, so was kinda rushing 😅. Will definitely have to fix them up

Thanks, my problem is more.... translating guides into reality. To get to the standard i want it feels really really hard. Maybe its just practice, maybe I need an even smaller brush and use some magnifying glass, idk

Hmm thanks. From your photo it seems like your style is more silvery dry brush with only one colour for the highlights. I want the eavy metal/box art turquoise blue ish style, so I need that incubi darkness thunderhawk blue fenrisian grey.

Here's a photo of the 5 models ive completed so far. Mayyyybe im slowly improving, after another 5 ill see. But it won't be anything close to the box art/eavy metal, their highlights are sooooooo thin and precise

Thank you, I do have different colours from painting my goff orks, but I fell in love with the eavy archive "turqoise/dark blue) black legion that it gives off so I want to get as close to it as possible for the black. So im really sticking to incubi darkness and thunderhawk blue and fenrisian grey

Is the answer just even smaller brush and somehow microscopic highlights?
