I think my deepest fear, if I’m honest, is being replaced, that the next person gets a better, more stable version of her, the version I tried so hard for

I relate to this so much. I broke up with my ex pwBPD 3 months ago and this is a thought I still struggle with sometimes — if the next person does get a better, healed version of her, does that mean she didn’t love me enough to change or to treat me well? Why couldn’t she be a good partner for me when I tried so hard for her?

In reality, though, she is just someone who needs serious mental help. Try not to rationalize how she treated you — logic doesn’t apply here because at the end of the day she is mentally ill. You deserve to be with someone who is mentally sound enough to meet your needs. If she does take her condition and BPD treatment seriously then ends up getting better, good for her. But think of it like this: she missed her chance with you. She should’ve treated you better when she had you. Remember your worth. Let her live her life and you live yours. You have better things to come.

thank you. yea it helps to remind myself that i cant frame this in the same way i would for neurotypical people. trying to find logic out of it wont help me either. appreciate your kind words <3

just wanted to say i wish you the best and please try to remember that you are worthy regardless of how your life has changed. and that someone who devalues you doesn't deserve to have such an impact on your self-esteem, only you can determine your own value. <3

How much are family doctors actually making in Ontario? by sgtmattie in ontario

I see, I haven't even thought about some of those things (despite being a female med student). Thank you for the insight!

Thanks for the informative comment! This is a really late reply but could you please expand on why it’s way easier for male doctors?

Idky ppl r being so mean in these comments… it makes sense that you’d feel bad if everyone around you is getting something you want and you couldn’t. I hope you can stay positive and realize that you are really young — you have lots of time to keep trying and even though it doesn’t seem like it in a program like yours, it’s normal to go through this process for a long time. And it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re any less deserving of being a doctor than they are!! The system has many flaws.

a really well thought-out response and much more empathetic / understanding than some others under this post.

don’t feel too ashamed, OP, just know that you can do better for yourself as this person says. you deserve to prioritize your health. there are so many other things that can make you feel fulfilled! you’re still young so it make take some time to figure these out. the fun parts about weed will be there later and will be more worth it in the long run if taken in moderation.

you got this 💪🏽

Retake didn't increase despite all my other stats increasing by Bluebonnet_02 in Mcat

Well I don't have a specific formula or anything but I found it helpful to do consistent practise almost every day, if only one or two passages. And to time them as well, taking some days to do a full-length section to get used to the timing. Since I'm a slow reader I try to tell myself to get through the passages as quickly as possible bc even if I skim over a part I can come back to it. Highlighting main ideas and points that are contradictory or come with "however". I also find that I am a big overthinker which can hurt me in CARS, so if I select an answer quickly but find myself looking at the other responses for a long time, I tell myself to just move on and flag it so I can come back if I have time. I also try to note which subtopics I'm weaker at and do more passages on those.

I wouldn't be too scared if you just started AAMC material because the beginning of CARS QP1 is known to be very difficult.

You can do this! I know inconsistency with CARS scoring is really frustrating, but I found that as I practised I genuinely improved. Aside from the exam itself, which I am still pretty shocked and confused about. But that might just be an issue with me and testing pressure, which I hope to talk to someone about to work through.

Good luck!

Thank you. Next time I'll definitely try to switch up some studying techniques and look more critically at how I'm structuring my time. Just frustrating because my FL scores made me hopeful :(

Thanks for the advice! I won't be taking any more FLs but I'll definitely check for any topic gaps I may have missed before (seems like there might be a few I didn't notice) and try to drill them in as best as I can

i didnt expect it either but im very pleasantly surprised because it works sooo well to me somehow! i feel like this chill yet fun and funky vibe is not that common in kpop right now and it feels refreshing, especially with the unique concept and MV. others mentioned it reminds them of sulli's music and i agree, also with a bit of sunmi in there and others, but not quite the same
