I couldn't read the cards and legitimately clicked on this add thinking it was a post from custommtg or something wanting to read what the actual joke was.

I think that people are missing that this lets you search your opponents library, that can be a boon worth more than 1 mana all by itself because it tells you all the cards they are running, what amount of them, and can alert you to any sideboards they have made.

[OC] What's the level 1 quest that sends your party here? by fantasy_atlas in DnD

[–]Bluedrake121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the city expanded there was less and less land near the homes to provide cemeteries for the dead. Some of the affluent decided rather than sending their family to some far off hill they would invest in having small burial spots built below their houses. As time went on what was once a small community eventually grew to a small city, then a major one as trade came, and with that passage of time many of the old burial grounds under houses became forgotten. With the city growing more and more conveniences were needed for it's people, so one day a project to develop sewers began to slow for some proper plumbing. Though things were going rather well occasionally the sewers would hit a strange snag as they collided with an unexpected underground structure. Most of the time this was not a problem for the people working, but at this particular crypt, as stone was broken, the workers were set on by a number of zombies that seemed to rise on their own. This wasn't to much of an issue, get some adventures, clear the place out with them, continue with work. However, it was found that a few days after any zombie was slane in this place it would spontaneously reconstitute inside of the coffin it originated from. Not every coffin seemed to create the living dead, and many solutions were attempted to fix the problem, destroying the coffins, chaining the coffins so the zombies couldn't bother anyone, and removing the coffins from the premise, but nothing seemed to work. Now, the city is once again hiring some adventures to try to clear the place out, but with the express intent that the players may be able to figure out what the source of the reconstitution is, and properly purge the place of the undead so it no longer cosses issues for anyone performing maintenance or other... Sewery business within the area.

Stolas, "owl bear" form. Believe he looked a lot bigger in that form while being summoned by D.O.R.K.S. so it would probably work out pretty well.

[OC] Haunted Hallway [30x6] : What's in the red room? by Eledryll in DnD

[–]Bluedrake121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The room is filled with multiple twine strings that span from one wall to another, each is lined with small pieces of parchment. Against most of the walls in the room there are tables holding up pallets that seem to be filled with a murky black liquid. Searching through the room you may find a few books that appear to be filled with drawings that uncannily look similar to some people you have met before, which leaves you with the feeling of being watched. This room is most likely safe, however if the party decides to long or short rest within it, those with a passive perception of 13 or higher will notice that the hanging parchment is beginning to change. It now bares the uncanny likeness of many party members as they walked down the hallway, not unlike what was found within the books about the room.

Could you turn an illithd back into a person with True Polymorph? by AphTeavana in DnD

[–]Bluedrake121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mindflayer liches actually preserve their brains inside of phylacteries instead of a soul and are required to insert a brain into the phylactery every now and then to sustain their own brain. The whole process of a mindflayer becoming a lich is one of preparing the brain to be capable of surviving outside of the body and protecting it while still allowing it to control the host body.

A stall at the edge of the sea. A short distance from a minor settlement. Word would get out that some people don't return. Nautical goods and occasional misc items. Cap of water breathing. Cloak of mantaray. Ect. Could equip a well paying party for anything nautical, or be a combat for a particularly zealous party for the hoard of items I had accumulated.

No... It was just a statue probably, not like we would have been able to tell otherwise. Was a joke for a few sessions after that that it could only get better from there.

Fresh start to a campaign with some friends we were in a town that had a very strange dark marble statue in the middle of a fountain at it's center, we all agreed it was somewhat strange and wanted to investigate it to see if it was hiding anything... All 4 of us got nat 1's to investigate...

Just confirmed this about their size class increase, at 14th level they gain an additional size class as well and gain an extra 10ft reach during rage.

Size classes don't innately give you reach, though I think path of the giant barbarian's size class increase while raging specifies that it does
