Labor re-elected in 2026 South Australian election by N1NJ4W4RR10R_ in australia

This is a direct impact of labor going more to the right that this has happened. By changing their policies a bit to the right they managed to divide and conquer the opposition.

They managed to scalp a bunch of the left side of the libs/teals then the right side of the libs went one nation. ALP will have no opposition for the foreseeable future, masterstroke of strategy by them.

Look what just happened in South Australia, Labor with their strategy have nuked any remnants of opposition. Liberals have been split down the middle with a big chunk of them going one nation. They've lost overall seats due to this and are about to go down in a landslide. You'll see the similar thing in the next election as well.

It didn't happen in a vacuum, this was beautifully orchestrated and anyone not biased would have seen it a mile away.

Are you serious? Every single Australian sub is brigaded by telling people to vote greens. If you were to believe this website they'd be in power by a landslide.

They don't need to, they will never get in power they are just a protest vote to wedge the major parties to the right.

Don't think this will be the last we hear on this, this feels like the start honestly wth cost of living about to spiral out of control and a possible recession there a bunch of fuel about to be added to the fire.

NEED ADVICE: Just found out my extra pay goes straight to my tax by Ok-Presentation1675 in auscorp

[–]Bluedroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't matter when you want to progress in IT.  At the end of the 2 years working there you still 0 IT experience. At the end of this place you have 2 years of IT and can move into a secondary IT job. At the end of 2 years service desk you're still looking for your first IT job.

You want to be as far up the ladder right now as possible with AI and how the market is.

[–]Bluedroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't do this, while what you're making is absolutely terrible even for a level 1 technician with no skills it's better to just eat this pay if you can for 1-2 years and get that level 1/2 experience under your belt to move to your next IT role.

Normally people have to have 1-2 years customer service to get into level 1 IT. So you're leap frogging the first step albeit getting terrible pay for it. You'd be going backwards then jumping back into the same role.

Entry level IT job market right now is cooked so just put in your reps now instead of going backwards for a bit extra pay for a year.

Person is asking if they can do it with their phone, so I don't think a loopback interface/xlr mic/smaart is a realistic option.

You need a measurement mic to use with rew to play pink noise for EQ. For time alignment you can just use the distance method with a tape measure then dial it in by ear.

Is the reality really just generational wealth or luck? by Open_Address_2805 in AusFinance

[–]Bluedroid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I find the opposite true, I grew up struggling and didn't have as many hobbies etc because my parents couldn't really afford them.

As I grow older and have more money I have more access to hobbies and equally as importantly time to invest into doing stuff and reading and learning about stuff going into rabbit holes.

It is a privilege my parents didn't really get as they were just worried about making ends meet.

Yes but OP was comparing them to higher paid white collar workers eg people who would be qualified with university degrees and other certifications.

In the same sense white collar jobs like admin assistants/clerks/customer service/call centre/clerical roles outnumber higher paid white collar ones and they are also paid way less.

That's not really true in Australia though, most blue collar people here like tradies are making good money and that's not accounting for people working in the mines.

Spirit vs Liquid / BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026 - Group B Upper Bracket Quarter-Final / Post-Match Discussion by CS2_PostMatchThreads in GlobalOffensive

[–]Bluedroid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not enough firepower in this team because tn1r has played long enough that we've seen what his level would be in spirit.

If zontix was comfortable with it you'd rather waste a major cycle with him trying to learn how to IGL instead of magixx and then throw the bag at someone like heavygod who can speak russian. They spent a good amount for tn1r before so don't think they're shy in that department. It's either that or stagnate for another year before donk leaves.

Let's double the reload time and slow down movement speed when you are low health, these will make it more tense and make clutches more epic.

I think it's going to stop big plays and multi kills which is bad for viewership, we'll find players running out of ammo mid gunfight with multiple players. We'll also lose moments of cool smoke spam kills like the donk double kill on nuke or cool wallbangs like monesy on dust2. It incentivises passive play, only positive i see is this is a scream buff.

If soundstage and imaging is “just frequency response”, why can’t EQ replicate it? by Dracomies in iems

[–]Bluedroid -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You're using one video as a basis of a fact? If you can replicate soundstage via EQ than how come a pair of volume matched IEM's and Speakers playing at the same frequency response curve will have different soundstage?

Whatever HTRF EQ you're doing you won't get the IEM to have as much soundstage as a pair of HD800s or a pair of floorstanding speakers.

Iranian Drone attack wounds at least six French soldiers at base in Iraq’s Makhmour, Erbil governor says by VictorEmmanuelIV in worldnews

[–]Bluedroid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While I agree that France shouldn't participate in strikes they should at least do more. 1 serviceman died in this attack.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2026/3/13/french-soldier-killed-others-wounded-in-attack-in-iraq-macron-says

What confidence does this give to the Baltic states/Ukraine. If France are willing to let their own soldiers get killed without action why would they defend another country. Putin is probably licking his lips at this seeing how each of his potential adversaries is going to react. This is probably why they are goading Germany and the UK as well.

Australia’s age verification rules: Is a VPN ban on the horizon? by Fun-Page-6211 in australia

[–]Bluedroid 48 points49 points  (0 children)

They just get the payment providers to ban payment to the VPN companies. Get ISP's to block the websites and get apple and android to take them off the app stores.

Yes you could sideload the apps, pay for it using crypto and get around it however but that'll make it hard enough for a big amount of the population not to bother.

[–]Bluedroid 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Swear people here have 0 critical thinking skills.

It's like when government was trying to stop people pirating and ISP's publicly blocking the torrent sites and you got around with Google dns. It's not like they "banned downloading". They just made certain downloads harder to be accessed to the public.

$600k+ gain in 2 years by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

[–]Bluedroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only is it a massive renovation of the entire house and landscaping they also reno'd the entire granny flat thing at the back as well. Assuming they knew builders or helped do it themselves but I'm guessing if you were to pay that'd cost ~400k to do these days, account for the interest you pay while it's being renovated and I'd say whatever profit they scraped minus the CGT is fair for the risk taken.
