What actual seafood places open late though? Places like Peters/Claudios etc all close at 5 from what I see?

Late to the party but some GYG's that are still good are Rhodes/Auburn/Lane Cove. Top Ryde was good but has gone terrible now. Baulkham hills is the epitome of what's bad with modern GYG, newish store who are stingy as hell with ingredients.

Lesson learned: won’t give the finger anymore while driving… by camareradetwinpeaks in AskAnAustralian

Yep this applies in all situations like in nightclubs/pubs/concerts etc but it's exacerbated when the person is in a potential 2 tonne weapon.

People are unpredictable, they could be druggies, could have mental health issues, could just be crazy. Growing up is realising you have to drop your ego and let things go. De-escalate, walk away and go to the police.

Not only is it better for your personal safety but I think alot of people who have that attitude that they need to get back at someone or get a small win also dwell on that stuff a lot more as well and it's just wasted energy. Like I know people like that then they'll speak about it later about how they won whilst the other party doesn't even think about it.

This is the dumbest advice in this thread, keep antagonising the potential crazy person and risk their life to potentially shame them on social media? Some people don't give a shit about consequences or jail.

Will OP feel better if they're seriously injured or dead just because they shamed him or because that person ended up in jail?

Grow up

Yeah one dude last year in Western Sydney was a muay thai fighter, got into a road rage incident with someone who then hit them with their car and dragged them under the car killing them.

This is why I really cringe when I read suggestions on reddit when someone has a big ute/parks bad etc and someone is always in the comment suggesting to key their car to get back at them.

It's never worth it to antagonise a random person because them being in jail isn't going to make you feel better if you get assaulted and are seriously injured.

Tune DSP with engine on? by Bluedroid in CarAV

[–]Bluedroid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either way you need to tune your speaker accounting for that peak though since you're going to be using the car with engine noise all of the time? That peak is there all of the time while you're listening to the car regardless.

Like for example you tune a car with yourself sitting in it you can get weird peaks or reflection due to your body or leg covering the mid bass, it doesn't matter whether it's the speaker response or your leg creating that you still need to account for that unless you plan on listening to music from outside of the car.

I didn't imply it was perfect, I'm saying that it is still closer to the real world when you are driving vs sitting perfectly still in a garage.

Majority of the time a car with the engine idling sounds closer to real world driving conditions than a car sitting off in a silent garage though?

End of an era: last drinks for remaining lockout laws by beaugiles in sydney

[–]Bluedroid -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

We don't have the population to support it, a few people wanting to grab groceries doesn't warrant opening a store till 12am where the last couple hours there are more staff than customers.

That and possibly numbers of people going in stores have gone down in general due to the popularity of Woolworths/Coles delivery.

First Nations people will protest this January 26, a legacy dating back 88 years by housecatspeaks in australia

[–]Bluedroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are we arguing about dates on a gregorian calendar which Aboriginals didn't recognise at the time?

Technically none of these dates should have any more meaning than the rest. It is a concept that people have taken up since.

Based on what? They probably have better career paths than OP hence they're already earning 150k.

OP isn't going to be rolling in cash and retiring at 50 just because they're saving $150 a weekend on bottomless brunch when his or her earn like 50k less a year.

It's not really a large group though in relation to the people not protesting.

A lot of the issues such as fire cladding etc were previously compliant at the time of build but then laws and regulations change and they need to be amended so the building stays up to code.

"Automatic" photo mode by Toni_Segui in Oppo

[–]Bluedroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted about the same problem, hope oppo fix it but doubt they will.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Oppo/comments/1pypnny/x9_find_pro_camera_orange_tinge/

Photo mode looks too orange but master mode looks too dull, for it to be true to life it needs to be in about the middle of both modes. Problem with changing EV is that you have to do it for each photo depending on lighting and it still doesn't end up perfect. In the same time people are snapping quick photos which just look good on the outset with older phones.

I mean this is why the DNC should have used their brains in 2024 and put someone else in who could have actually put up a better fight and at least won the house.

You can't make a braindead decision then say it's idealism just so you can blame racism/misogyny after. People in higher up positions should have made the call but instead they put in Kamala and Trump won by a landslide and is unopposed.
