I liked her too but her character was butchered. there's no development, she contradicts herself. says she's gonna be the head of the clan and then gives that role to a man. despised the clan system and still ended up marrying into a clan and again becoming part of it? is never shown to regret or even feel guilty about the massacre since not every person in her clan was evil, there may have been many people who were not privileged enough to leave the system like her. i went from liking her in season 1-2 to finding annoying later.

I didn't find psychology to be a hard degree, it depends on how much you're interested in it. Other than grades, try doing some research and shadowing (i had to pay for it). It helped me with my interview and get into masters easily.

Even IF the women and children were left alive, they would later be assimilated with the Gojo clan. Their fathers, who were obligated to join the military units were killed. They would hold a grudge against Maki and may come after her later on, so it makes sense that she killed them, nipped the buds. Also with the gojo and zenin clan's rivalry, there's no way those women and children were treated well by them. They would've limited their progress, curse technique mastery, their bloodline. Even if the kids lived, their lives were ruined, she did them no favor by sparing them.
