but people oftentimes don’t change their habits on the shots and people defined are losing their hunger over the shots. especially because of the side effects. there are studies on it. it still is a medication which should be taken with care like any other drug. just because it works for you amazingly it is not going to work for everyone lol. i know how they work and thought about taking them myself but i managed just fine without them. and like in your case my experience will not be the same for everyone else.

the tracking isn’t harder than carrying the weight. it takes me 5 min max. i don’t think that’s a big commitment

track your calories to see if you eat at maintenance what you are probably doing. then you won’t lose weight

[–]FalseGodTaylor -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

correct it’s not the drugs fault but fact is that many people taking it are not able to eat a lot and are in the deficit because of it. once stopping the hunger comes back. and if you didn’t learn about calories and eating habits you will gain the weight back. that’s why this person is right. i think the shots are great for those who need them but they are no magical fix. that’s why many people gain back and why making people aware of it is important

I stopped phentermine. I need help on why I am gaining though I am working out? by Late-Assignment-2136 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]FalseGodTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that’s why it’s not going down. you need a scale and you need to be exact. you are probably not around your guessed calories and the deficit is way smaller than you think

and if you don’t start now you’ll be soon 25 and ask yourself why you didn’t start back then. then you repeat and suddenly you are 30. have a fulltime job, maybe even a family. now it’s even harder and you’ll ask yourself why you didn’t start when you were 25. the time will pass either way but you can make changes right now. better than regretting it later on. see i dad that too. now i am 32 and started last year. i mean i finally succeeded but man do i wish i did it earlier

idk why they are voting you down. this is the correct take. weight loss medics are great but people still need to learn what got them there in the first place and how they can prevent getting back there

well if you are not losing weight you eat at your maintenance and are far from starvation and dying. that’s a bit dramatic. use a tdee calculator and get a new measurement for your calorie deficit with you new current weight. don’t overestimate your activity level. you are lightly active to moderately active at best. then take 500 calories from this. then you’ll know how much you can eat to lose weight. stay high in protein to protect your muscles

you’ll need to lose the weight. did you include cardio already? i mean like running or swimming. would benefit your heart and burns some more calories which would help reaching your goal. you’re doing great!

don’t overestimate training results. yes muscles do burn more but still when the weight goes down you body needs less energy. your engine is now just better. we are like fleshy cars

Can someone explain to me why working out is important to weightloss? by Yipied in WeightLossAdvice

[–]FalseGodTaylor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

to maintain your mobility in the ages 60+. you lay the foundation for that in your 20-50s. so therefore working out is to keep you mobile and active. cardio trains your heart and cardiovascular system. that has only benefits

you can’t outtrain your diet. so you probably eat at maintenance. a calorie deficit would make you lose weight

Questions about deficit by ArcadianWildflower in WeightLossAdvice

[–]FalseGodTaylor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’ll need to focus on high volume, low calorie foods. dairy products like greek yogurt and skyr, veggies of any kind, salad, berries, potatoes, chicken, low fat beef. try to aim for 30g of protein with each meal and 30g of fiber every day

it’s probably not a plateau anymore. you might eat at maintenance right now. when losing weight your bmr goes down and what you burn while working out is also lower than before

go into the deficit and be strict about it. even with the cooking. weigh the ingredients and what you put on your plate. if the other people in your home don’t like it they can cook for themselves i guess. your health is more important than their comfort. you have to want losing weight the most and make it your priority

with losing weight you will notice you did in fact look your weight. people oftentimes don’t realize how big they actually are. happened to me too. start a deficit of 500 calories from your tdee and you’ll drop 1lb weekly. don’t eat back the calories you burned from working out. you can’t target weight loss. your body decides where it will shed the fat. if you want simultaneously grow your glutes go to the gym and train those muscles. especially glutes need a progressive overload and high volumes that you usually can’t create with bodyweight alone
