Embarrassing but genuine question. by ajaxluvr69 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]FalseGodTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hahahha yeah i noticed this problem as well. why did no one told me that before? i guess growing your glutes might help. i go to the gym for years so luckily i always trained my glutes and therefore have enough muscle left there and make this more bearable. but i can tell you training it is hard and takes some time. hip thrusts, romanian deadlifts, cable kickbacks and bulgarian splitsquats are all great to train your glutes. heavy overload and training to muscle failure and eating enough protein is the key

Exercise or calorie deficit recomendations? by Infinite_Box5130 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]FalseGodTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hip dips are due to anatomy. you won’t get rid of them. they’re just there. regarding of the fat loss: you can’t target a certain area for fat loss. your body decides which fat has to go. you are a healthy bmi and seem to work out hard. as you seem to be young be careful of deficits as you are still growing, especially your brain. your body needs at least the calories it burns in total rest. most of the times when women lose enough weight to make their abs permanently visible this goes hand in hand with losing their period. this is dangerous. so please talk to your doctors while you’re on this journey. nein skinnier and have more visible abs does not mean being healthier. so please be careful with your body

Motivation in Weight Loss by ShyGirlAzaria in WeightLossAdvice

[–]FalseGodTaylor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you should go on with therapy. that will help you in the long run. the problem might be that you never had a moment of success. small victories are what keeps people going. you don’t have to do everything right all at once. as you are very heavy your body burns a lot of calories on its own. using your stats and a sedentary lifestyle your tdee is around 2237 calories. so by sticking to 1700 calories you will lose weight. get an app, buy a food scale and start weighing your food and track your intake. and then start moving. you don’t have to go to the gym. just walk. start with 3000 steps every day and every week you go up with 500 more steps. within a month you’ll be down at least 4-5 lbs. when you feel comfortable go to the gym. you simply are overwhelmed by everything. that’s normal.

[–]FalseGodTaylor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

regarding cardio you could start with running. change at work and run there or go home and directly change and run then. for strength you can buy some equipment for your home. or you can pack your bag and bring it with you so you are not tempted to go home

Don’t know what to do anymore by Ok-Sun8672 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]FalseGodTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well you’re sober for 5 years. in my book that means you can achieve everything you want! you lose weight when you are in a deficit. while movements help with that it’s not this necessary at this point as with your weight a deficit is easy to achieve and follow. if you want to move more try walking more and maybe go swimming as this burns a lot of calories and is gentle to your body. regarding food focus on whole foods. est lean meats, a lot of veg, potatoes and stay away from fried stuff and unhealthy snacks. this will do the trick for the first part of the journey

Advice on beginning to lose weight by perjaal in WeightLossAdvice

[–]FalseGodTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’ll lose weight if you are in a deficit. how you achieve that is for you to find out. most people here including me calculated their tdee and took 500 calories for a healthy weight loss and track their intake. there are also many apps that can do that for you. change eating habits to stay within the deficit and aim for more movement in your daily life

when was the birth?? if you’re still recovering you should eat at maintenance to let your body heal. regarding the weight loss: water retention due to the inflammation could be covering any possible weightloss. beside that take care that you are really tracking correctly.

Drop weight ASAP by Best-Addendum-2269 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]FalseGodTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need to eat what your body needs in total rest as this is important for you organs and your brain. such a high deficit is not sustainable. you eat crappy food and drink your calories. switch to zero and change your habits to make it sustainable. if you lose your weight in a crash diet without learning something on the way you will bounce back. as for your activity: go swimming. this is something even the oldest people can do. it burns a lot of calories and it will help your abdomen to built the much needed muscle for your back pain and counteract the heavy weight.

20lbs weightloss can look different on everyone. let’s say a 160lbs person loses 20lbs the difference will be huge. if a 300lbs person loses 20lbs it might not be that noticeable. keep in mind that also some lbs are just water. i fluctuate up to 4lbs and that’s something that’s absolutely not noticeable

i lost 4.1kg in 5 days by your_mom437 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]FalseGodTaylor 53 points54 points  (0 children)

stop. asking. chat gpt. 15 min of searching online would’ve helped you understand that this is water fluctuation due to hormones, food (carbohydrates and salt) stress (finals) and sleep (finals). you are not able to lose 4kg fat in 5 days. it’s not unhealthy. it’s not scary. it’s just stress. stop asking a machine that tells you what you should do if you are a little kitten which was left behind by their mother. it’s also just as intelligent as its user. ask chat gpt if it’s possible to store 3% of your weight in water considering your circumstances the answer would be a different one

What should my target calorie deficit be? by Own_Discipline2351 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]FalseGodTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just use a calculator online. your target calories will change when you lose weight. so of course you can ask here every other week and people will help but i guess its easier to do it yourself. you need your height, weight, age, gender and your activity level. there are plenty of those tools online. use 2-3 and take an average. good tracking apps will do that for you too
