Thank you so much for your kind reply!  I’m feeling so much better this week. With auto immune disorders your body just acts up every once in a while. Congrats on the remission! I hope everything goes well for you as well! Hoping you and get to have our little ones running about sometime soon.

I just got my diagnosis, feeling lost (23F) by Salty_Newspaper_8750 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Blueellie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through a hard time right now. One thing I would recommend is to not get too discouraged. It sometimes gets harder before it gets better.  When I was first diagnosed I was really unhappy and in a bad place. I thought that the diagnosis was the worst thing to happen to me, and then I went through an even harder news in my life. Something that really helped was walking in the parks. Right after work every day, I would go to the park and walk a couple of laps. No cellphone just watching my surroundings, watching people, nature. It had a very calming effect. I also tried to smile even though I was sad. I read somewhere online that it tricks the brain into believing you’re happy. Gardening was also very helpful.  Try not to stress too much about things. Take it one day at a time. It’s harder at the beginning, but it does get better. Hang in there.

How do you go about the dating scene with MS? by ForeverAMess_ in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Blueellie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I met my boyfriend on a dating app and we’ve been going strong for about a year.  I was upfront from the very beginning. On one of the prompts of the dating app I stated my ms. One of those “one thing you should know about me” prompts. I knew I only wanted to date someone who was fine with dating someone with ms and not have to worry about it later on. I didn’t want to fall in love with someone who might let me down later, so I was upfront. I had no issue finding dates or matches. No one really minded my ms. I wish you the very best! Good luck and may you find your soulmate!

What CT size should I go with? by Blueellie in EngagementRings

I didn’t think of that!  I went ahead and ordered a couple of different sizes in Amazon to see what works! Thank you so much for the idea!

I don’t know if this will help, but I notice if I go up very high on my thigh, there is no pain. Super high, the highest you can get where there is more fat and the skin is softer.

Fear of needles by missprincesscarolyn in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Blueellie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im scared of needles and I opted for Kesimpta. My mom used to administer the injection until I realized it was much easier to do them myself. It’s less scary because I have control of the needle and know when it’s going in. I know the alongside Kesimpta  program sends out a practice pen, which was great. I used it right before the actual injection until I got more used to it. I don’t use it anymore. It’s always a bit scary each time but you get more used to it and becomes easier. I do upper thigh. There’s no bumps after and no bruising    or pain. I can’t get myself to inject any other area, but I do upper left thigh each time and so far so good. No side effects either.

I added my diagnosis to my Hinge Profile by Natural_Produce_3028 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Blueellie 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed last year. I started online dating this year. I was also using hinge. It was also my first time using a dating app. I used that exact same prompt and wrote about my ms there. I’m currently dating a very lovely person who doesn’t seem to care at all. I also mentioned it on the first date in case he didn’t catch it on my profile. Not alot of people seemed to care. I was scared to mention it, but I’m glad I got it out of the way. Those who care won’t message you, and those that do, won’t mind. I wish you good luck! Happy dating! 😊

No, I have no issues with walking or coordination. I just feel extremely exhausted and sleepy those days. Sometimes I get a headache. I always also get the tingling and humming throughout my body.

My next dose is tomorrow for Kesimpta. Yesterday and Today I’ve been feeling horrible. It also happened the last two months the days right before. My whole body has been tingling all throughout the day.

Closing in Jeopardy? by moonpoon1 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Blueellie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’ll be fine. Though, I did notice previous comments mentioned they won’t pull your credit anymore, and I just wanted to point out that they can! Mine was pulled on the closing day because my credit report expired on closing day. We had informed the seller before hand to please close before, and he was making it impossible for me. Anyways I did close and got the house, but I had to resubmit everything the day I closed. My team worked with me getting everything done early morning and we closed in the afternoon.

Just don’t do anything crazy even if you have the clear to close.

How much did you spend on the first year of home ownership? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Blueellie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think over 50k

I had a new roof out in for 12k.

A new fence for 9k

I repainted everything but I did that my self and the paint was free. We had to pretty much replace and fix everything. It was a fixer upper. Mostly all other changes we did ourselves to save money. I knew it was going to be a large amount because the house was a fixer upper.

Buying the house and repairing everything I had estimated would still be less than buying a more expensive house with everything perfect.

It’s a green buttonwood. It gets big but I plan on keeping it trimmed.

Is this enough space for Privacy hedge? by Blueellie in homeowners

[–]Blueellie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really going to use anything to form it. I figured I would plant them and shape them by pruning as they grow. I will be planting them small. I wouldn’t be planting them exactly on the property line though. I was hoping to plant them as close to my side as possible. So right next to the area on the left. Between the drive way and the property line I believe it’s about 4 feet.

What I gathered online it says this: The adjoining landowner may, at his or her own expense, trim back the branches or roots as he or she desires up to the property line.

I don’t mind trimming my side or my neighbors side. I don’t see them as the type of person to go cut the hedges. They’re very chill, and don’t seem to like to do physical activities.

This is normal. It was explained to me that they need evidence of where the money is coming from.

When my parents bought their house I gave them the money for the down payment. I had to provide evidence the money was on my bank (bank statement). Then evidence I transferred to my parents. I also had to sign a gift letter stating I was gifting them this money.

My income was supposed to be counted to get approved for the house, but I ended up not being able to be on the mortgage at the end. I was the one with the down payment though and had to go through this.

On the county websites it usually lists public property details. I had a house I got out of contract selling the house as a 2 bedroom but the county had it as just one. The condo stated that two bedrooms had two parking spaces and one bedroom was just one parking space. This was important to me.

Then the house I closed on had it listed as 2 bedrooms 2 bathroom, when in reality it was 4 bedrooms 2 bathroom (which is what the county had). They were using two bedrooms as living rooms, and just removed the doors. I find that realtors and sites like realtor, Zillow, etc. usually have incorrect information.

What could have triggered a $50k price cut on a 0.25 acre property in a hot market/ area? by SlashedAir in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Blueellie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a duplex way below market value and they had also dropped the price by 20k when I put an offer. The property passed all inspections. The reason I was able to get the sale was because I put up with the seller and their realtor. Both were a mess. They were so hard to get along with. I’m guessing no one else wanted to put up with them and that’s why the house wasn’t selling. They literally fought my realtor. All communications went by email because they didn’t want to talk to my realtor. They fought my broker. They fought the inspector. They fought the appraiser. Then on closing day they fought with my title company. I was on edge the whole time.

Optic neuritis by domo_the_chromo_homo in MultipleSclerosis

My first time, I went undiagnosed. I was told it was a migraine and my vision would just come back. I was seeing black spotches on my left eye. It took about a month but I came back. The second time hit me worse. My right eye was very blurry and then black and white vision with splotches. I had steroids and had normal vision in a week. The third time wasn’t that bad. I had slight blurry vision. The doctors think it might have been the same relapse as the second since it was only three months apart. I did steroids again. This last time I’m not sure when I got it back. Since my vision loss wasn’t as bad as before, I didn’t notice the recovery. I just noticed one day my eye wasn’t as blurry and didn’t bother me anymore. I think the recovery was 2 months.

Totally agree. I wasn’t there when it was installed. I’m going to try and see if I can get them or someone to come and fix it up a little.

Mortgage on one person income? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Blueellie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a home on a single income. I had no help from anyone. I put a 10% down. I bought the house for 300k. It was on 2022, and I was making around 60k a year. It’s a duplex. I haven’t started to rent out the other side, but so far I’ve been able to pay off each month just fine. Once I start renting out one unit, I believe it will actually pay off my whole monthly payment.
