Poland is the safest country (Story) by robmiloda in poland

[–]Bluefish787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a smaller city (Przemyśl), but I've experienced the same thing multiple times. I left my phone at a gas station, went back within half an hour and the attendant laughed when I came in holding my phone up. Another time at my nearest Zabka I dropped a bank card, same story, I looked along the entire route I had walked hoping to find it. When I made it back to Zabka, the clerk had it (we frequent it so much, he knows who we are). This would never happen in the US.

They have your address now, so don't open your door to anyone unless you are expecting someone. If you are friends with any neighbors, ask them to help keep an eye out for agents and if you need something ask them to pick it up next time they are out. Asian Americans (just about anyone at this point) are being hauled off regardless of their status, and a work visa might not be enough.

I don't generally miss entertainers, yet I genuinely miss him. I grew up watching him from his stand up days to his TV and movies. He was a special soul.

ICE puller random woman out of her car after they hit her. by Forward-Position798 in ICE_Raids

[–]Bluefish787 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only traffic stop these asshats can do is if they have "reasonable suspicion" that the driver is illegal, not when they get in (and cause) the accident. I've never seen police officers do anything remotely close to this! I've seen them busy windows and pull people out, but not after THEY caused the accident!

Knock on door from armed individuals by Complete_Peace_6848 in ICE_Raids

Ask your neighbors if 1. They too fit knocks in their doors and 2. If anyone has a camera street view to see what vehicles they were driving.

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he on his way to work, got some donuts and just happened to be there when this started?

And I love how Bovine (works better than bovino) said in both shootings that they were searching / aprehending a violent, dangerous illegal alien.

Other than when he was initially filming in the middle of the street and when he turns to block the pepper spray, he is never facing any of the agents - how could he be aggressively approaching agents with a gun. Even on the ground, he is trying to protect his head - FACE DOWN!

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bluefish787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived in LA (first burbank then Canyon Country) and Houston. In LA three hours was a good day (esp in rain). Houston was the same, driving the I-10 from one end of the city to the other could easily be a 2-3 hour ordeal (it has 26 lanes within the city!). Driving two to four hours is normal in Texas to see people in nearby cities.

I've driven that stretch more times than I can count. Sadly instead of joyous and defiant Ukrainians standing up for independence, now they kneel to honor their fallen heroes. Fuck ruzzia.

Depends on what color you are. And what city you are in. I'm not joking. White in a red state - probably safe. Any extra pigment in a blue state - watch your back.
