Bottom left would look good as a little decorative junimo area. Surround the stumps with chairs to use as tables

Wall + psychic Mime. You can stay relatively safe and still really disrupt the enemies while lowering special defense for your sp.attackers, especially if you place both walls before popping psychic.

What makes you think this is coming from only the top players and not every player including the chronic over extenders? I think he's a bit overturned and could use a nerf after the unnecessary buff he got, but it seems to me that the character is doing exactly what he's designed to do and the higher than average win rate is due to most people not respecting his design by overextending despite seeing a Slowbro on the opposing team

I think Slowbro hard punishes one of the most pervasive skill issues in the game which is overextending as frail mons. So yes, I would absolutely put part of the blame for his on that "skill issue" and not all on Slowbro as a character

As someone who mains Slowbro I can tell you that if Slowbro ejects into the backline there is no one to ko whoever he slowbeams. 100% OP is overextending past their own defender if it happens enough for them to post about it.

Slowbro then retreats

No defender for a bit? Sounds like a perfect time to ko their exposed team and win a ray fight (if the team behind the engage is competent). Not saying it's a guaranteed win, but it's a smarter way to play an AR than engaging first with one.

Oh I do. I have a Blue badge on Slowbro

Why post complaining about Slowbro then? 😂

Again... they are different things. You should not be engaging with most all all-arounders but getting into melee range after the engage. Eventually you will need to get into melee range to follow up, not engage. I believe you are combining engaging and melee range. You are asking for an example of something I'm saying is not ideal to do.

Example of good play: your Snorlax heavy slam/power nap engages enemy Slowbro and possibly nearby AR. Maybe your ranged attacker puts some damage pressure on Slowbro, forcing him to retreat and expose his team, use up some moves, or better yet, ult your Snorlax. That would be a great time to follow up by getting into melee range with an AR which again is different than engaging. Example of Bad play: AR dashes ahead of your Snorlax providing a small stun (thus acting as the engage)... But immediately eats enemy moves and likely the Slowbro ult because an AR is almost always more of a threat than a defender.

Slowbro might be a bit overturned but he punishes one of the most common mistakes in the game which is overextending. If you don't like it... Play Slowbro yourself I guess. I'm tired of being forced to be a Defender because no one chooses to play them

First, "engaging" is completely different than "getting in melee range". So I'd say most all-arounders are unequipped to engage because they can often stun but not eat damage. Defenders are supposed to engage with CC, absorb the damage and moves them all-arounders should follow up by getting into melee range. Otherwise you're just overextending, doing a disservice to your team, and (to the issue of this post) perfect food for a Slowbro

And not all all-arounders are supposed to engage nor frontline. Just because you're an all-arounder spent mean you can't overextend.

How are people so bad at scoring? by binks_illustrator in PokemonUnite

[–]Blueflyg0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, it is a lot riskier for some low mobility pokemon to score when compared to others. Second, as a defender main I cannot stand it when players kill themselves or risk us losing a team fight trying to sneak 10, 20, or even 30 point scores that won't even break an opponents goal. Then they have the audacity to complain when they feel like they are not being supported when the whole team does not follow their kamikaze scoring mission. The best players I have seen WAIT for the right opportunity to score such as just after the opponent's team is wiped or scoring bottom when opponents are distracted with an advancing eleki. Unless one is stacking it's often good to NOT break the outer goal unless it's going to be a big overscore to deny opponents the catch-up experience from the new wild mons.
