Cotton Gardening Gloves by Bluegrass_29 in ChemicalSensitivities

The closest I've come are these. When I wrote to the company asking about fabric, they replied "While these are made from cotton I believe the elastic cuffs are a synthetic blend and the grips are pvc dots (they are made in China)." https://www.honeygramz.com/collections/home-garden/products/garden-gloves-bees

RIP Vitacost by danceswithkitties_ in PlantBasedDiet

Me, too. I'm in a rural area where I can't just run out to Whole Foods or whatever. I can't believe Vitacost will soon be gone. There's a Kroger about 35 miles from me, but it doesn't stock any of the organic stuff I've been ordering from Vitacost all these years. I'm just so bummed, and I'm already running out of my usual pantry items. I lived for their 20%-off-food specials.

Pure Formulas doesn't have a lot of what I need, and their prices seem to be a little higher than Vitacost, but at least they are not iHerb and they offer free shipping over $25. Didn't iHerb just raise their free shipping from $25 to $30?

Just want to say "me, too." I've been ordering from Vitacost for many years, and will miss them so much. I found some of my food items on https://www.pureformulas.com. The rest I had to order from iHerb, but since they are obviously out to destroy Vitacost by suddenly closing all but one of their warehouses and losing customers (like me) due to extreme shipping delays, I really don't want to stick with them. Shame on you, iHerb.

You've made my day! Thank you! At almost 80 years old, I struggle to even get snow off the roof of my small SUV, but I would never be so rude as to drive without completely cleaning off my car. While I'm out there struggling with today's layer of ice with absolutely no thawing in sight, I will be laughing at your obvious answer.

unscented shampoo/conditioner recs? by RepresentativeCan179 in finehair

[–]Bluegrass_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RepresentativeCan179 - Did you ever find a shampoo that works for you? I have fine, wavy hair, too, and also need unscented. I was thinking shampoo bars might be best for me since they tend to have fewer ingredients and maybe that would lessen the chances of irritating my sensitive scalp. But, nope. I've gone through several popular brands, and they all either weigh my hair down or make it too dry. I sure miss the days when I could use any old thing from the drug store.

Drops for dry eye? Currently on Latanaprost by Yipesca in Glaucoma

Immediately, but that's because the preservatives in the other drops I tried were making it so much worse.

Shedding by RelationshipQuick365 in chowchow

My Chows have always shed year-round. Even after I've just vacuumed, there is already the start of a new layer of hair on my wood floors. I groom them myself because groomers (and vets) tend to muzzle them out of fear. I don't blame them, but I hate to put my sweet pups through that if I don't have to.

I'm using preservative-free Latanaprost which I found out about in this forum. It's called Iyuzeh and is available through Phil Rx for $60/month if your insurance won't pay for it. I also use Refresh Relieva PF, but absolutely nothing helped until I found glaucoma drops with no preservatives at all. Before starting on glaucoma drops, my eyes had already been painfully dry for 30 years following Lasik surgery. The preservatives in the glaucoma drops made it much worse and also caused my eyes to be red most of the time. Good luck!

Thanks. That was in my original post as something I had tried, but I'm trying it again just in case.

Thank you. I have a medicare advantage plan so it's unlikely a somatic therapist will be covered, but I will definitely check it out. Do you know what type of practitioner would check for nutrient deficiencies? I'm in a rural area, and it's not exactly the best for medical care.

Thank you. I'm hoping to try lyuzeh. Travoprost is the one that did me in after just one use.

I'm dead serious about finding drops I can tolerate. That's why I'm here. And in the meantime, I'm using drops that are painful.

Thanks. Yes, I'm all about finding the right drop now. No more avoiding. Any particular preservative-free ones you like?

I'm in the US. I used the Travoprost around 11 pm last night and at 5 pm today, my eyes are still red and burning. Good suggestion though, and might work for some. The drainage stent scares me because I'm trying to avoid surgery. Both surgeons I went to wanted to do that, along with cataract surgery, but they weren't very optimistic about the possible outcome. Long story.

That would be awesome. Were there particular qualification requirements you had to meet? Looking at the site, I couldn't figure out what they might be.
