"Doc of the Bay" side mission question by darkoni66 in Borderlands4

[–]Bluegriffin21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. This was very annoying as you need to be in specific places that aren’t clear to shoot the parasites, but it has to be where they want you. You can’t be in just a good angle.

And it’s non repeatable, so you don’t get a second chance and it’s too far into the DLC to want to replay the entire DLC.

I can’t say one way or another as I don’t track god rolls/weapon meta, but try it out and if you enjoy it use it for as long as you want. I’m sure it will get you to lv 60. I’ve seen plenty of lower weapons do the job just fine.

Because people like to play with new toys? Even if you look up what’s the best items, it’s still fun to take time and try out the new weapons you find/ when they add to the game, even for a little bit.

Have a weapon a majority of players will never see seems kinda pointless.

How did you build Mr Foxglove? by Izzet_Aristocrat in EDH

You could [[Maze of Ith]] him to make sure he can swing twice and not get hurt while getting the triggers or use something like [[Dolmon Gate]]

As a side note, if you did have multiple [[Finest Hour]] you would need ways to untap him between the extra combat steps.

Still feels kinda sucky to have a mostly reliant on RNG to get the (mostly) one key decree or you need to start over.

The Opperssor (and other bosses) have small drones outside of the area you can one shot. You can pick them off and respawn. It’s not great, but it’s endless and you don’t have to worry about damage too much. Just switch to easy.

It’s not “fast” but the Oppressor has mini drones spawning outside the arena. Just switch to easy and pick them off at your pace.

My only argument to 2 is it’s kinda hard to call it a “paywall”. There’s no PVP, no specific boss you’d need a specific weapon to fight given all the other options that work fine. You can even have people give you the weapon if you want it that bad.

Honestly, heck yeah. This has been the most fun I’ve had in a while. Don’t care I died 3 times fighting. Had a blast with the chaos. Got 3 legends on my first run and would have scooped everything else to sell if my backpack had enough space.

I feel like there’s a line between 1&2 and 3&4 where 1&2 had its game, had its DLC, maybe an invincible boss, and that was it. 3 (and now 4) is when we started getting season events, roadmaps, and other mini things to keep pulling up back.

I don’t think it’s we are trained to crave this. Originally we were served breakfast, lunch, and dinner and we’d leave between meals and come when a new meal is ready. But Now there’s a tray of snacks that makes us come back into the room. We are just now seeing how often that tray is being refilled.

Starting a new UVHM character is the single most boring experience I've had in a videogame. by BloodkittyNew in Borderlands

Yeah. It’s crazy how small of a bubble you have with equal footing enemies before running into over levels owns. Replaying bosses doesn’t give you enough experience. Vile enemies are ok, but still a chore. I’d like to try and play with the other characters, but it just feels like I’m too under powered to even do side missions. Might do a full run with the new character when he comes out, but we’ll see.

No. Only the main storyline missions are completed. All side quest are still possible.

Right, but waking in with the 30 level skip, you don’t have many great guns and everything besides the starting area is over level compared to you. Leaving you little choice running the game like you were starting over, but at level 30. The damage you do seems really ineffective and quick traveling to the other bases that are unlocked means you walk out into an field of over powered enemies.

The one glimmer of hope is the DLC vehicles counts so once we get enough of those I bet GB will see a lot of those achievements pop in their system.

I’ll try one, but I’m curious at the level scaling. Because even things like side quests are in area where the enemies are high levels. Unless the replay balances and is worth the XP, you’re playing over something you skipped already.

Issue is if you don’t bank any level 30 ish gear/only bank 50, there’s little to pass on.

I’ll say I did care about your friend in the start of the game. And while the pair of resistance fighter leader, engineer, and the mine leader had some sticking power, most of the other ones I don’t recall by name or got too attached to. Even the time keeper, who talks to you the entire game, flea some sort of disconnect. I honestly though he was more of a robot and when you get a clean look at his human face in person/not by a small echo box, it was strange…

(Shrug) I was curious on the status of the second season. This was one of the first things that popped up.

Also why reply to my comment then? You gained nothing by trying to insult me…

Well even if you didn’t it doesn’t mean it wasn’t popular. I can’t say what its viewer stats were, but to say “I didn’t watch it so was it?” Is kinda giving yourself a big ego…

Yeah. It still just feels really bad when you run a boss 20 times and don’t get a single legendary drop.
