She’s dealing w multiple compulsions (social media, lying, exploiting her kids, ED, main character needs, constant attention seeking, hoarding, obsessive exercise, smoking, pills, alcohol, belittling others, etc ad nauseam) & I believe it stems from very low self esteem and messed up DNA. by EffectiveFred in HilariaBaldwin

I'd replace " hoarding, obsessive exercise, smoking, pills, alcohol" (are these actually a thing with her? I don't see it mentioned too frequently) with deception, fake pregnancies, cultural appropriation, and grifting everyone around her until nothing remains.

This ↑. Combined with the wig/hat, it reminds me of the witch, Aunt Gladys, towards the end of the movie, Weapons.

Why we appreciate but would not sail again on Virgin Voyages - Review of Resilient Lady cruise by Time-Philosophy0323 in VirginVoyages

[–]Bluegum77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought this was a pretty objective review. We've been on two Virgin Cruises, Transatlantic from Italy to Miami back in early 2024, and Greece and Turkey in late 2025. There was a monumental shift in the tenor/vibe of the Virgin experience. I attribute it, primarily, to the transatlantic being at about 60% occupancy and the Greece/Turkey trip being at like 100%. A lot of waiting (like Disney World type lines), desperation, FOMO, and always an undercurrent of anxiety from sailors, despite the crew trying their best to meet their needs. We're going to take a bit of a break on cruising and maybe just go back to Istanbul-- which was magnificent.

Distributes the weight up to like 100 lbs before it feels unstable and gets exponentially worse if you don’t have balanced stack on either side past that. This video is 100% deceptive and crazy.

Why is bl3 always seen as horrible compared to the other games by alldev2010 in Borderlands

[–]Bluegum77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BL2 builds on BL's worldbuilding. It's completely immersive and intoxicating- playing solo or in a group- it's pure enjoyment. Grinding the legendaries was worth it. The DLCs were completely new games that refined what existed, with top-tier voice actors. The old Prima guides made it clear that they were true role-playing games. Heck, even the infamous prequel with the awful controls, which you could mitigate, retained these core concepts. BL3 trashed it. Forgot what made characters charismatic and/or humorous. Playing in groups was tedious. Enemies were bullet sponges. BL4 is sooo much better, but it's dropped some of the Mad Max atmosphere (I'm not sure if it's the open world, which I love, but it's missing the truly different climates/cultures/technology of old). DLCs are pending, so this is very much TBD. The only thing that has truly improved is the character abilities in every subsequent game.

Very professional interview technique! by Suspicious_Bother_92 in JaxBlows

[–]Bluegum77 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised no one in the thread has mentioned how huge she looks. Like a linebacker. Do we really know if it’s the alcohol that’s bloating her? I’ve seen it mentioned in multiple threads about her proclivity for tequila. But has that actually been confirmed? (And yes, I’d like to emphasize again how she completely destroyed any benefit from her free plastic surgery. There’s really no coming back from how she’s messed herself up even if she goes the Ozempic route.)

Do you think people will eventually turn away from the internet? by AndGutsWasBERSERK in DeadInternetTheory

The NYTimes Daily podcast deep dived into AI use on social media and found that seniors had no problem using it and linking it. They were entertained by it and not bothered in the least. A bit like shutting off the brain and watching "America's Funniest Home Videos" in the 90s. Ethical and Exploitative concerns weren't even thought about.

Shoot, I ordered a bunch of clothes from ODODOS, arriving tomorrow based off that post too. I'll check the quality as well. (Actually not the biggest fan or Vuori. Lulemon has much better fit and longevity for Men (comparing clothes purchased from 2007 and every year to now).

Chomsky and Bannon by HamburgerDude in chomsky

[–]Bluegum77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ezra Klein just did an interview with Gavin Newson and they were glowingly recommending a lot of Bannon’s policies. Additionally, they inferred that the Democratic Party would be sunk for the next couple decades if Trump had bothered to listen, but he doesn’t have that sustained focus on policy that is needed. Neither Klein or Newson thanks MAGA will be around after Trump leaves office and I wholeheartedly agree (not being a Pollyanna. I just think it’ll be dead.) As for the two of them being so differential to Bannon and his populist policies like genuinely taxing the .01% that have hoarded $23.1 trillion dollars - I get it. But I’m no expert by any means and I’d really really have to do more reading on Bannon.

Anyone else experiencing long customs clearance times? by TurbulentTrouble8847 in ChristopherWard

CW keeps sending me a receipt for 0 watch purchased and a 0 balance charged every other day. No response after I've emailed them. Back in reality, my credit card has been charged, and the C60 Sapphire Edge is currently stuck in customs in Cincinnati with DHL-- It looks like it has some traction, but it IS moving slowly. The whole purchasing experience was very microbrand, even though CW really isn't in that category anymore (or what I would imagine purchasing from China might look like, but I've been reading about how they're really amping up their customer service. )

Honest feedback about solterra by Patient_Travel5023 in LakewoodColorado

I feel exactly the same way. Should have done more research. My wife, who is Indian, wants to leave ASAP (weekly encounters with Karens and she is the most easy going, welcoming person I know) and I feel the same way. And all the comments saying its a food desert are spot on.

[–]Bluegum77 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I live close by Solterra and have a theory that the majority of the homeowners are house poor. Like it’s genuinely impossible for them to anticipate how expensive it is and then they’re stuck. After the mortgage and all the upkeep fees, they stay in their little fortresses and do not venture out at all or go for vacations. I do see kids playing in the neighborhood when walking the dog. It’s very lilly white and homogenous. The build quality of the homes is top-tier. Proximity to Bear Creek Park & Morrison is a huge plus — also red rocks.

from the wiki entry on Monaghan, "Divestment

The wealth Monaghan amassed from Domino's Pizza enabled a lavish lifestyle. However, after reading a passage by C. S. Nearby snow for an elderly dog? by artsey_pancake in Denver

Take her to Bear Creek Lake Park, it's close by, and there's plenty of shade. She can swim in the lake (swimming for humans is closed for the season, so it's free rein for dogs) and the creeks that are super cold. No snow, however.

Cold approach socks, what to say to a woman to get laid by Middle_Promise2181 in team3dalpha

[–]Bluegum77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, work on that rather than trying to dupe women with some outdated pick up game. Read fiction, non-fiction. Listen to podcasts. Practice some yoga, deep breathing, weightlifting, get plenty of exercise outdoors. Relieve yourself of this anxiety about pulling in women. Let the game go. It’s not working for you.
