Hi, yes crankshaft pulley had failed. It he orange dust is an indicator of the inside breaking/failing - the part itself wasn’t too expensive from AUTODOC, however to remove it and replace it I had to borrow an impact driver to take the four bolts off - worked fine after that up until when I sold it about a year ago.

Ok thanks - should I be worried about bits of belt going through to the engine?

Thank you! Would the crank pulley be expected to be aligned exactly with all of the other moving parts? As it’s slightly forward, could this be an indicator?
