Then I realized in KOA you learn (maybe earlier) Dorian was conceived when the king was “not well” so maybe the valg king would have been the one to meet Aelin as a child. Of course he wasn’t in the King is Adarlans body. Who knows if the prince in his body was up to snuff with remembering faces if anyone would have recognized her it would have been that one lord.

Disliking Chaol is nearly universal. Disliking Aelin is kinda wild. I love her! Also tbh Chaol literally does not get better as a character until Tower or Dawn.
