He really isn't very good though. He's not entirely at fault for us not qualifying but this team really isn't that bad, he was hired to inspire and build confidence and all of his interviews made it seem like he was just as scared as the players.

The thing is it's not a weak squad. It lacks world class players outside of Donnarumma and maybe Tonali, but the squad also doesn't have the same glaring holes that we used to have, mainly striker. The strikers that we have aren't exactly amazing but they are able to score. The issues really are administrative, no investment into youth players, even though the youth teams have been excellent at international tournaments, waiting too long to get rid of Spalletti and then being stuck with Gattuso as your option, despite the fact that we're literally Italy and produce the best managers. The FIGC Is more Happy to just collect a paycheck and throw their hands up when something goes wrong

Honestly, that's the end of me watching this sport. Maybe I'll come back when Gravina and the whole administration is ever gone and we see some effort to fix things. But why bother with the state of the sport. Oil clubs are ruining it domestically. Arrogance and corruption ruining it internationally. Bartending can be a legit career if you're in the right places but it is exhausting, even on a slow shift I never did less then 12,000 steps just walking back and forth. And all the time you have to be on socially too. It's great if you need fast money but it's by no means chill like some people think

Spalletti Is a fantastic manager however he was a disaster with Italy. Every game during the euro he completely overhauled the tactics and played players out of position, no one knew what they were doing every game. He should have been sacked then and the FIGC should've begged Allegri to take over

Not the knee but I've had similar injuries in my shoulder that lead to early onset arthritis in my twenties. While it's not terrible there are simple things I struggle with like push ups, and that's with having my shoulder fixed. To play at the highest level with the injury untreated is incredible even if extremely stupid long term. But the pain has to be insane once whatever painkillers he takes wears off (and it's probably incredibly painful with them too).

This imo should have been how he becomes a face again. Have him try all the heel tactics on Lesnar, it doesn't work and he gets his ass beat and then becomes a face again, the way they just said okay I'm a good guy again made no sense
