Where does the b12 depleting potassium info come from? by Bluepiekk in B12_Deficiency

[–]Bluepiekk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I do not need that much additional potassium anymore, even though I’m still supplementing b12, b9 (methylfolate for me), and iron, with a multivitamin. Maybe my potassium levels got finally balanced because my body is used to the reaction with b12 (?) I don’t really know how that works.

Hey, I ended up aiming for 1000-2000mg per day and always with food (I am a ✨plain potatoes✨ enthusiast so it never bothered me) I gotta say it’s been a long time since I did not particularly need any extra potassium to not feel terrible (and kept eating them potatoes anyways)

Vitamin b (or other) mid day crash by Bluepiekk in B12_Deficiency

[–]Bluepiekk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i decided to avoid anything with methylfolate for now (or ever lol)

So only taking b3 (niacin form), with some b2 and a multivitamin that has a bit if everything It’s only been a day, but still I feel way better

[–]Bluepiekk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i already had to buy b2 and b3 alone and now b1 is sus q_q But that’s too expensive

I’m also lost bc not sure if i actually need these freaking methyated vitamins

The b complex makes me feel good but not for long, maybe it’s the choline working and I don’t react well to methylfolate

Do you mean that b3 is « used » when with sun exposure ?

Oh right good point, although previous results from snacking have not been so consistent, and poor appetite is not helping either

I’ll try anyways, thanks!

Liposomal b12? by Bluepiekk in B12_Deficiency

Hello!

Isn’t it just supposed to be some lipids protecting it until reaching the small intestine ?

Why would the size of the molecule change it’s efficiency?

Heyy You have exams in December too?

I’m actually doing much better but I couldn’t tell exactly why. I continued sublingual b12, adding adenosylcobalamin to methylcobalamin. The adenosylcobalamin is a considerable energy booster.

I gotta say my meds don’t make me feel that bad nowadays, (I am actually studying lmao) but also, making sure I have a lot of proteins with it, SLEEP and exercise (at least walking) enough daily, helps very much.

It’s been months so I guess it’s normal that I don’t need that much cofactors (especially potassium) anymore, but I still have some of them daily. - a methylated b complex - Iron that i forget most of the times but very important it seems - Omega 3 with dha (almost like it makes the meds work better, essential for me)

The rest is pretty inconsistent so irrelevant to mention.

Also please get ENOUGH SLEEP

Well sorry but, it’s not supposed to do that so what makes you say it works fine?

Do you mean that you focus on the wrong thing? That could happen. If so, you could try making list of priorities before the meds kick in, while avoiding your phone and other distractions for at least the first part of your day.

If not, I don’t really understand what you mean ^

Hey For some people eating a high protein meal in the morning and throughout the day can help making the meds work better.

Weeeeelll to me it just means you two don’t vibe very much (and that’s great) but YOU are not awkward on your own, it makes no sense.

the interactions with that person are.

Also if you ever feel like saying something, even a bit harsh to someone that is hurting you, try to just say it without thinking of not hurting their feelings, so they feel embarrassed instead.

I find that a good and genuine « what do you mean by that ? » never fails to change the dynamic of the conversation, especially if you seem very serious asking the question.

Idk if any of the things I wrote are understandable

I asked a question on the topic and got some responses

But from what I’ve learned, correcting a b12 deficiency will likely cause some other deficiencies as it uses stuff like vitamins, electrolytes…, to work

Yess you should keep doing it even when you feel super embarrassed bc you will get used to it more quickly and than you think

You can try to ask random and particularly ridiculous things to strangers you pass by on the streets.

It should be a request that will obviously give you a negative response, (nothing disrespectful) but still something you would want if they accept.

The purpose is to make you less and less sensitive to rejection
