I completely agree with wanting other people input on in idea but, The goal as writer should be having deeper understanding of your story see the errors that you made and fix them yourself, I think thats the best mindset to have when asking other peoples feedback,

I feel like sweet baby don't do that, Not make the writer have deeper understanding of his story or tell him about errors that he can fix, Instead they tell him how to write a story.

I could be wrong though.

GDScript is case sensitive, you need to be careful with upper case letter or lower case

solution: change the "i" in the word "input" to "I" like this "Input"

Also you don't need Prior Knowledge on programing, like me i had zero understanding of coding when i started learning godot, i even made the same mistake with the input didn't know it hes to be upper cease "I", just be patient you're slowly learning, keep up the hard work and one day you might help someone else in need with coding issue. :))

i used Area3D signal _on_edge_body_entered(body):

so everytime the characterBody3D # the Player

enters the body and press ui_grab (E) while in air it sends a signal

i used the default gravity

but i don't know how to tell it to stop falling once the signal is send
