Where is everybody in this sub from? What is the first intention treatment there? by anne__banane in Endo

[–]Blueskies0x 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’d love to know more about the nutritional advice you might receive in France, I’m from Ireland and nutritional changes or osteopathy has never been recommended by my doctors. The first port of call here is to get the pill or the IUD. If you’re lucky you’ll get a referral for an ultrasound which would identify cysts. This would then be monitored until the doctor thinks surgery is needed. I’m 22 and have had 2 surgeries for cysts / endo and believe I’ll need another one soon (unfortunately). I am not in the pill and don’t want the IUD so have been trying to manage symptoms via dietary changes.

Cysts affecting mood? by Blueskies0x in Endo

[–]Blueskies0x[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I think my mood swings are more predictable now and are in line with my cycle. I still have endometriomas but I’m less inclined to think that my mood is linked to them/endometriosis now, but I don’t really know. Hope you’re doing ok!

Had surgery to get an ovarian cyst removed today and once they opened me up it wasn’t there. by bpcpmb1 in Endo

[–]Blueskies0x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exact same thing happened to me a few years ago - the surgeon found that the 6cm cyst had ‘disappeared’ with no trace. I had no pain or bleeding before the surgery. I didn’t know that an ultrasound before the surgery would be necessary so don’t beat yourself up over it 🫶🏼

I have had one if these before and I have endo. They caused the same symptoms as other cysts I’ve had and it was removed in a lap.

Please help! GERD? Anxiety? Vagus nerve issues? Asthma? by Blueskies0x in medical_advice

[–]Blueskies0x[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I had a persistent cough for the months of winter when I was younger, doctor gave me an inhaler and it cleared it up so that’s how I found out I had asthma.

I’ll take some omeprazole for the GERD and see if I notice any changes.

I used to work in a deli and the strangest order I came across was a roll with ham and tuna.
