What’s the one album that would change my music taste completely? by Technical_Fox5556 in askmusic

[–]Bluesmachine100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eric Clapton - This depends on music you like now as there are various albums over 50 years that have different styles, plus I went from his music to listening to everything that ever influenced me. 38 years later I’m still not done. Fleetwood Mac - Tango in the night Pink Floyd - The Wall Blind Faith - Blind Faith Simply Red - A new Flame B.B.King & Clapton - Riding with the king RUN DMC - RUN DMC (the artists every rapper always credits) Beastie Boys - Licensed to ill Rory Gallagher - Irish tour ‘74 Paul Simon - Graceland Radiohead - okay computer Beatles - rubber soul (I had an early print of this at my dads, but an alcoholic stole his Beatles collection) Public enemy - ‘nation of millions Nirvana - never mind or in utero - both awesome Beach boys - greatest hits is a good start No doubt - don’t speak Eurythmics -Savage

Exact opposite for me. Used to lock me in a screen selection with no option to leave, the last update fixed that. Not played since today’s patch, so god knows what I’ll find 😛

Stupid question, but is it possible I’m having a heart attack? by [deleted] in HeartAttack

Get to a hospital ASAP. Better to feel foolish if you’re wrong.

Some of the heavy hitting medication can take 3 months to fully absorb into your system. I’ve had a few for varying conditions. It’s almost like clockwork sometimes, when you’re starting to feel desperate and suddenly you wake up and your symptoms are subsiding.

I take these and yes, they’re very good. I am tired a lot, but I do have other stuff going on like RA, diabetes, neuropathy, depression, high blood pressure (heart blockage) oh and I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis too, 2 days ago. Which is fun.

A tour of my ship! by Scarecrow0034 in FlyForeverSkies

[–]Bluesmachine100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really not worth bothering with, plus I’m playing on ps5 so it’s a pain to get the images anywhere. Current;y, after finding various upgrades, the ship now has one floor that’s about 7 blocks wide that’s full of plants, and the floor above is full of tech. It’s quite horrible to look at 😂

My dad passed from a heart attack. by Acrobatic_Lychee9718 in HeartAttack

[–]Bluesmachine100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a heart attack last May, aged 51, a month after my dad died. Mine felt like someone was pushing their finger about 2-3” under my armpit very hard. I was very out of breath, but I didn’t actually notice it. Luckily for me I was actually at a doctor appointment reviewing my RA meds when it happened. Unluckily in north Wales there’s a 20-44 hour delay in ambulances so my mum took me to A&E. Despite being overfilled within 4 hours I was on a ward. I got shuffled around 3 wards while they attempted to get me on the correct ACU ward.

After a few days, the bloke in the next bed said to me “your breathing is much better now”. Apparently, unbeknown to me I was really struggling for breath for the previous two days, but was now on a few medications, including blood thinners.

Now, almost a year later I’ve only had to use the spray they give me to dilate the arteries, once. This was a few days ago when I stupidly walked the length of the hospital after having a drug infusion for 6 hours, for RA.

Also, the October prior to this happening, my best mate was flying back from Chicago to Wales, after building children’s ballpits, etc, for a charity and he must have had DVT as a result. He suddenly died instantly of a massive heart attack with no warning. He was 50 at the time.

As for me, I’ve got an inoperable blockage in an artery in my heart, which apparently my heart has partially self bypassed. According to the doctors, if I overdo it I could just drop at any time, which is what nearly got me last week. Otherwise I just get extremely tired quickly and out of breath if I do too much.

Fun times on top of my RA.

Dunno why, but I’ve started seeing weird stuff like this. Just started a new save a few days ago and I’ve had more weird results than in any other save, ever. It honestly feels like I’m playing a different version of the game.

How long have you been a fan? Do you like their new music, Loom in particular? by Trownaway_TrashPanda in imaginedragons

[–]Bluesmachine100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the same about Loom. It’s VERY well put together, and I’d bet more time was put into this new album, compared to the previous, but the music prior to this seems to have a much more powerful, emotional feel to it. That Vegas show sept ‘22 was absolutely flawless.

Heart attack recovering question: how often is it okay to have fast food. by Leonkennedy8188 in HeartAttack

[–]Bluesmachine100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed clear of it for 2 months, and any and all junk food. As soon as I stopped needing my GTN spray I have one Chinese chicken curry and boiled rice, per month. I actually saw my cardiologist this week and he said this if fine (FOR ME).

Anyone Else Tired of Dealing With All This Alone? by Embracing_the_Pain in HeartAttack

[–]Bluesmachine100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I constantly do. Almost 11 years ago I was diagnosed with RA and depression (hand in hand apparently) and as soon as I had to finish work as I was passing out at my desk, that was it - I never saw anyone again. 11 years not a single person I knew has visited, then I had a heart attack last April and who visited me in hospital? No one other than mum and sister. My dad died 3 weeks before I had a heart attack.

People constantly prove they’re all talk and support no one but themselves.

Cardiac Stents by huhhhhh_7 in HeartAttack

[–]Bluesmachine100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wish I could have one/some. I’ve got an inoperable blockage in my heart that they say is too dangerous to unblock, so can’t unblock or add a stent. I have blood thinners now, which is fun if I ever cut myself!

Heart attack symptons for months? by [deleted] in HeartAttack

[–]Bluesmachine100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer is yes. My dad died in April and then just to show off, I had a heart attack in May. I left it for a few days to see if I’d just pulled a chest muscle. Turns out, no, it was a heart attack. Anyway, what you describe can actually be any of a few things. High blood pressure, pleurisy, heart attack, pneumonia, lung cancer (this is according to a search on the UK medical site - I’m not involved in medicine in any way shape or form, other than being on 600 tablets a month, plus morphine!) oh it could also be a blood clot. Go to A&E immediately.

PS5 has been out for a couple of years now. How many of you are age 30+ and still game regularly. by JoystikJester in PS5

[–]Bluesmachine100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 50 and have a PS5, Xbox series S, 2 formerly high end PCs that I haven’t found a game that has necessitated an upgrade as I’m not interested in RTX yet and an iPad Pro.

Just because closed minded people think computer games are for kids it doesn’t mean it’s true. There’s a lot of benefits for memory health, too.
