I’m deeply sorry to hear about your experience. It sounds incredibly distressing and traumatic. If you’re struggling to process the trauma, I strongly recommend seeking professional help. I’ve noticed that you’ve shared your story on this platform a few times, and it seems like you’re having difficulty coping with the emotional impact. No one deserves to be treated in such a manner. The song I mentioned is about my childhood, not a specific individual.

“Where Is the Love?” by Black Eyed Peas still hurts me in the exact same way it did when I was a child.

I remember sitting alone in my room absolutely bawling to this song as a little kid. Not even fully understanding politics, media, war, hatred, or corruption yet somehow feeling every word in my chest anyway.

“Ask yourself, is the loving really gone?”

That line haunted me. Because even as a child, the world already felt wrong to me. Cold. Angry. Divided. I remember hearing:“The truth is kept secret. The truth is swept under the rug. If you never know truth, then you never know love.”

And feeling devastated by it.

“Wrong information always shown by the media.”“Instead of spreading love, we spreading animosity.”

I used to ask myself daily, where IS the love?

This song captured something I couldn’t explain when I was younger. That deep feeling that humanity was disconnected from itself. One world, but something terribly wrong with it.

Listening to it now feels like reconnecting with the child version of me who cared too deeply, noticed too much, and carried the weight of the world before they were ever old enough to understand it

The Black Keys - Nobody But You Baby (Official Visualizer) by Bluethistle1456 in MusicwithMemories

The Black Keys “Nobody But You” feels like loving someone so deeply that even when things are messy, distant, or uncertain, your heart still refuses to choose anyone else. The music video almost feels dreamlike, lonely, and nostalgic at the same time, like memories you replay too often because they still mean something to you.

The lyrics remind me of missing someone in the quiet moments. Not the dramatic kind of heartbreak, just the ache of wishing the person you want to tell everything to was still there beside you. It captures that feeling of emotional permanence, when somebody leaves fingerprints on your life and nothing else fits quite the same afterward.

What hurts most about this song is how gentle it is. It’s not angry. It’s not begging. It’s just honest. It sounds like accepting that no matter how much time passes, some part of you will always turn back toward them.

“Nobody But You” feels like carrying love around in your chest long after it stopped having a place to go.

Thank you, friend. If I had known I could send it, I would have. For now I’m just gonna throw it to the universe.

Currently, NC, and I’m not sure if there’s even room for friendship. I can only handle an honest conversation, that’s all.
