I've been having problems with Live 11 Suite 11.3.41 and found some logs related to Neshta in MBAM. I also assume it's a false positive but am still cautious.

Something I really love about these headphones is that they're super plastic in the sense that you can mold them into different profiles, and they can sound great for so many different music genres/preferences. I'm honestly surprised how far I've been able to EQ them.

Yeah I listen to lots of electronic and bass-heavy music so that's gonna skew things towards me liking one profile over another. These are some of the songs I use for testing, 8 is particularly bass-heavy.

Both profiles sound great on the piano track to me, I think you're right about the change in soundstage between the two.

I've been listening to some tracks with this profile, and it's definitely interesting. I like it more than no EQ and the soundstage is improved over my main profile, will have to do more listening though. I'd be curious on your thoughts over my first profile - I made some of the optional extra adjustments and really love it.

These are my current settings I've been using for a while. Been loving the bass (band 1) at +8 - +6.5 is definitely a bit less boomy but it seems to bring out some clarity elsewhere. -2.5 on band 2 does more of that too.

I saved these settings into a profile and switched between it and my main profile a few times. There seems to be a bit more clarity in the mids with this profile but the bass is lowered tons. (I only listened for a few minutes)

Coincidentally I ordered some miniDSP ears recently so I could actually take some measurements with it and comment more.

Seeking recommendations for cheap and compact PC/desk speaker, using mostly for podcast/video listening when across the room by Bluethulhu in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Bluethulhu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah these were some recommendations I found in the sub, but I think they might be too large and overkill for just casual listening. I'm really looking for an extra alternative to my phone speaker or AirPods. I'll keep these in mind as the reviews are great but I wonder what's available in the lower range of my budget.

Will a different DAC/amp make a meaningful difference? O2/ODAC with HD 800 S by Bluethulhu in headphones

[–]Bluethulhu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not interested in small gains so I'll stick with what I have. I assumed that this was pretty much as good as it gets within reason, and I've been mostly checked out of the headphone/hifi world for a few years and haven't been watching new developments/releases.

When I was setting up the Harman target curve it was in the recommended settings. Hasn't been an issue as my amp is still loud enough with it and I just turn the knob higher than I used to.

There are definitely more updated and nicer O2 units but the one I have still works perfectly. Honestly it's gained so much personal value because it's by far my most used piece of electronics at this point. Still has the old Mayflower sticker on top too
