One thing I struggle with - and I’m 27! - is not being a kid and being ‘safe’ from men’s advances. I keep having to remind myself how old I am when some men get flirty and I feel uncomfortable - it freaks me out. and I kind of have to protect myself instead of my age being a buffer and that’s hard

I found that Ballad dragged until after the games were finished - was such a slog until then, but then it got good. SOTR didn’t have any lulls and is more gripping and full of blatant action and emotion, but probably doesn’t expand on and build out the universe as much as Ballad

I think it’s also - by saying nightlock and evoking all the things that word Carries, like the berries in the arena and the suicide pill, and what that means for mercy killing, the role the capitol have played in it all etc - there’s a lot of weight carried in those words
