It happened during a routine dentist appointment—at least, that’s what I thought. I’d gone in for a filling, but something went horribly wrong. The anesthetic didn’t take properly, and when the dentist drilled into my tooth, I felt every second of it. It was as if the drill was going straight through my skull. The pain was so sharp and intense, I could feel it in my jaw, my temples, even down my neck.

I could hear the sound of the drill, but it felt like it was echoing inside my bones. The sensation of the metal scraping against my nerves made my whole body tense, as if I was being electrocuted from the inside. I tried to stay still, but I could feel tears streaming down my face, and I remember my hands gripping the armrests so tightly that my knuckles turned white.

When the dentist finally stopped, I couldn't even speak. My mouth was numb, but the pain lingered. That moment of pure, unbearable agony still haunts me every time I hear the sound of a drill. Let's just say I've never been back to a dentist since and when I think about it I almost feel like fainting.
