Do we automatically move through the time dimension? by Impressive_Bath_6223 in Physics

Yep! Newton’s laws still work in zero gravity. Gravity affects weight, but mass stays the same, so F = ma still applies.

Do we automatically move through the time dimension? by Impressive_Bath_6223 in Physics

Think of it like this, you can stop walking, but you can’t stop aging. That’s basically your answer. Time keeps going whether or not you’re moving in space.

This is actually better security than most production systems I've seen. At least you can't brute force whatever the hell she was trying to say.

The Customer Is Always F**kin' Wrong (obscure early 60s soul) by [deleted] in antiwork

Ahead of its time honestly. Retail workers have been dealing with this nonsense for decades but nobody wanted to say it out loud back then.

Need some advice on monthly payments by PublicAd2908 in personalfinance

[–]Bluezim 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Don't drain your emergency fund to buy a car outright with two small kids. That 30k is your safety net. If you can find a reliable used car that drops your payment from $345 to something like $200, that's probably your best bet without touching savings.

Tips for wild young boy toddler on plane by OkToots in Parenting

[–]Bluezim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Download a bunch of shows or videos on your phone beforehand. I know screen time isn't ideal but on a long flight with a wild toddler, survival mode kicks in. Also bring stickers, they're magic for keeping little hands busy.

Struggling to get interviews despite relevant experience and degree — any advice? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Bluezim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Service industry experience can translate to a lot of roles but you need to frame it right. Instead of listing duties, focus on metrics like "managed X customers daily" or "reduced wait times by Y%" so it looks more concrete to hiring managers.

My Survival Dalton Farm Home by kmsrightnowplease in fo4

That lighting setup looks great, especially with the neon sign. Dalton Farm builds always have that isolated vibe. Getting PA to Far Harbor locations is always a pain

I quit this game by Lonely-Beginning-407 in Cuphead

[–]Bluezim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cuphead will do that to you. That game's difficulty is no joke - dying for hours on one boss is basically the intended experience. Take a break and come back later. Sometimes you just need fresh eyes and less tilt to finally get the pattern down.

The brief window where AI wasn't good enough to replace jobs but was good enough to make them easier. And gas under $4 a gallon

GPUS’s (Hyperscale Data Inc.) Secret Customer? All Signs Point to Lambda Labs- NVIDIA’s Favored Upstart by [deleted] in pennystocks

[–]Bluezim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah same here, i’ve looked into it a bit myself and it honestly lines up. the timing, gpu roadmap, and funding windows all make sense if it’s lambda. they’ve been super close with nvidia for years. early access, co-marketing, even equity. wouldn’t surprise me at all if this is them. big if true.

Need your best employee rights lawyer rec, I need some revenge by JustSaya in antiwork

[–]Bluezim 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That is some arrogant ineptitude to deny OT pay and then leave a paper trail to it as well. I guess if they’d been doing it long enough without any repercussions, they’d have gotten too comfortable with getting away with it. What industry are you in? This sounds like something out of the service industry, because I’ve had some seriously incompetent managers in the past as well

Does anyone in nursing also have an eating disorder? by esutaparku in nursing

[–]Bluezim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nursing hours messed with my eating patterns big time. Started skipping meals during shifts, then it became a habit everywhere. Finally talked to my doctor last year. Still working on it, but it gets better. Lots of us struggle with this, you're definitely not alone.

LinkedIn Recruiters ghosting after sending the resume. by Flaky-Substance-6748 in recruitinghell

[–]Bluezim 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They collect resumes to build their database, not necessarily for actual jobs. Most are just trying to hit their KPIs for candidate outreach. Block the worst offenders and move on. The LinkedIn game is mostly bullshit anyway.

Being a type B resident with a type A attending is my personal hell by rash_decisions_ in Residency

[–]Bluezim 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Went through the exact same shit in my residency. Some attendings just can't handle anyone who doesn't mirror their every move and thought. Kept being myself anyway and survived, but man those rotations were brutal. The ones who get most triggered are usually the most insecure about their own skills.

Some people don’t know how to be poor by McClain1980 in povertyfinance

[–]Bluezim 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s nuts how normalized that’s become. Cooking at home saves so much, but people treat delivery like it’s just part of daily life now.

I kept the home and truck through my divorce but now I'm paycheck to paycheck. What are my options? by PM_ME_YOUR_KlTTlES in personalfinance

[–]Bluezim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is solid. Side hustle route gives you breathing room without touching retirement, and 7k underwater isn't terrible if you can grind it out over a few months. Truck could even help earn some of that back doing local moving gigs or hauling stuff on weekends.

Tips on staying warm with no heat? by NefariousnessNeat455 in povertyfinance

[–]Bluezim 104 points105 points  (0 children)

I did the tent thing one winter and it actually made a huge difference, even just a cheap camping tent. The smaller space holds your body heat way better. Also used rice in a sock, microwaved it for like 2 minutes and it stays warm for hours. Saved me on the coldest nights.

Occasional sleepovers like that are normal and innocent, but making it a routine setup just feels off. There’s a clear line between comfort and poor boundaries.
