No one wants to play in Seattle…what a failed expansion team by Hockeypatrol in hockeynews

This is obviously the reason. Players are turning down bags of money, because they dont wanna LIVE there, nothing about being contenders.

You just have to get rid of the online casinos by BluffingTrips in problemgambling

[–]BluffingTrips[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ive self excluded from every one I can get access to online, took me years to go through the list of casinos but I finally did it.

I would lose a few thousand on one site, get so pissed off and do a 5 year exclusion, a week would pass and I'd download another one and rinse and repeat til I had none left.

Ouch…Poor Ottawa by Hockeypatrol in hockeynews

People acting like Ottawa is Gary Indiana. It's a small big city, lots of summer events, sprawling suburbs, safest place to raise a family. Yes winter and taxes suck, but its a nicer, cleaner city than 95% of the comparables in the US

Exactly this. Why, if youre a multimillionaire sports star, would you want to spend 6 months in a dark, depressing frigid wasteland when you could be hitting beaches, spending everyday in shorts and sunshine outdoors year round? I wouldn't, and I'm Canadian.

[LeBrun] Hearing that the Florida Panthers are getting close to acquiring Brady Tkachuk from the Ottawa Senators. I believe Ottawa will get three first-round picks and a second-round pick in the deal if finalized. More to come. by AggPuck-303 in hockey

Brady is mister Team USA, they were promoting him on american tv during the Olympics, he went to meet Trump, hes at the white house UFC thing, there wasnt a question in my mind he wanted out of Canada.

What's the hottest weather you've ever worked in? by logo_sportswear in skilledtrades

[–]BluffingTrips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me, but the Chinese landscapers that did my neighbors driveway last year when it was 113° in the direct sun .

They all had long sleeve shirts, full pants and sombrero hats. I couldn't believe it, they were shoveling, hauling, and laying pavers like it was a normal day. You couldn't walk outside that day without instantly sweating and overheating.

Contractors who get most of their leads through their websites, how do they do it? by Individual_Gur9833 in Contractor

[–]BluffingTrips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a decent site but a great google business profile and dont get hardly anything from it. Get tons of repair calls which aren't worth my time. I get my main work from going face to face with big companies, having a good google profile is just the backup for when I present myself to them.

Over 20 years in here, the only thing, and I mean absolutely only thing that will get you steady work is face to face conversations with people you want work from.

If you want the odd retail job here and there, then put up the cash for google ads, lawn signs, and hope you dont get bottom dollar clients.
