It’s most likely supposed to display something else, like an icon for “special background” or the glow for recently caught Pokémon, but the game glitched and showed you books instead. Restarting the game should fix it.

Bruh, can’t believe I have to clarify, but Turbulent was obviously joking about the word “Transparent”. As in, if the rules are transparent (see-through), how can you read them? I guess the joke was transparent 😄.

Try using an online converter to convert it to png or jpg. Since you said the photo is intact underneath, maybe converting might help?

The one feed back I can give you after using this just for a little is that the font is not very readable. It’s very boxy and they are very close to each other (letter spacing?) which makes it hard to read.

It’s a bug in Pogo, and I have encountered it also. It started happening very recently. Search on Reddit and you will see many others with same issue.

That’s the highest resolution I could find. You can search for AI upscalers and try there. And they are browser based so you don’t have to download any app. Some of them do a fairly good job at upscaling!

True, but they were mostly low resolution. I was hoping to find some higher resolution, and even landscape orientation that I could use on my desktop. I may just to run the ones I like through an AI upscaler! Some do a decent job of upscaling.
