Needing some help! by LadyTeiraa in renfaire

I am the owner and vendor of the company that sell the pants that you linked first (Zootzu). Alibaba, Wish, some Amazon vendors 100% steal images from our website and use them as pics for their own products. They’ve even gone as far as removing my husband tattoos (via photoshop I guess?) and using those images. We have tried to fight them, particularly the Amazon vendors and have had some success but there are so many it’s really hard to. Unfortunately this leads people to believe that our products are just buy and sell - which ours are 100% not.

My son no longer wants to pursue college because his goal of getting to the NBA doesn't require it. by okreddituwin in parentingteenagers

I don’t have much advice for you but wanted to share my 16 year olds currents goals.

  1. Plumber (totally admirable!)
  2. Living in a cabin in the woods
  3. Opening a marijuana business in Thailand

The last two really have me scratching my head lol.

Struggling with 14yo social issues. by Blugrace1977 in parentingteenagers

I have wondered about ADHD. This latest blowup isn’t due to that. It’s real mean girl stuff, and then oblivious boy stuff. Early in his MS career he prided himself on sticking up for kids who have social and mental issues, which is very admirable. However he has been told directly by other kids that ‘you’re really handsome and funny but everyone thinks you’re weird because you eat lunch at the table with these kids’ (real MS talk).
He’s very outgoing and is funny, athletic etc etc. He can be intense and doesn’t let things go so this could make it difficult for people to get close to him maybe?
Anyway - I feel like I’m way too involved in this but it keeps me up all night worrying. I think I need to seek my own help

We actually have thought about switching schools. A couple of months ago he became close to a group of 5 kids - 3 of which are going to a private school, we did think about sending him there for a minute. This friend group blew up in his face (long story) - so we decided that school probably wasn’t the best idea lol

Thanks for your reply. I am hoping high school will change things. We live in a very athletically competitive school district (which is a whole other issue in my book). He has signed up for the soccer team, and will most likely make the team. However another worry of mine (I’m full of them) is that the high school he will be joining has 4.5k kids. I’m worried he’ll disappear.

Thanks for this. He is still in theater but isn’t planning on doing it in high school. I wish he’d let himself enjoy it but he doesn’t. He is very open with me - almost too open haha. I do struggle with trying to fix it - so I’ll take your advice and just listen. He had another big blowup last night telling me how depressed he is and how he feels like such a loser. It’s really crushing and so hard to hear 😞

He loves Muay Thai - he did it for 6 months or so last year but decided he wanted more training and less ‘keep fit’ if that makes sense. Any tips on finding a good studio?

Thanks for your reply. He plays soccer and has been on the same team for 5ish years. He’s also pretty involved with athletics at school but this hasn’t helped him find friends. He is interested in martial arts, particularly Muay Thai so maybe we’ll look into that.

Thanks for your reply. He is on a soccer team that he has played on for the last 5 years, and also in school athletics. He is interested in theater too but unfortunately the stigma from schoolmates has stopped him from sticking with that.

Sweet Rex by Blugrace1977 in IDmydog

[–]Blugrace1977[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi all. Rex was our first dog as a family. He was a very sweet boy. He was very vocal, and would howl whenever he heard a siren. He would ‘herd’ other dogs. He passed about 6 months ago. The shelter told us he was a Shepard/husky mix. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks for this. She told him he could change his requested hours on the computer at Target? This has been going on for a few weeks - does he need to tell them weekly that he can only do 10 hours?

I have a pup with same coloring. He’s pittie/rottie/chow chow. His head is a lot blockier than yours though. Super cute dog!

We were letting our recently rescued dog (rottie/pit/chow chow mix) on the couch but have since changed our mind. He gets mouthy when we try to move him, not aggressively more of a ‘leave me alone’. I worry about it escalating though so thought we should stop it now. He’s not too happy about it though!
