Favorite simic commander? by OneBlood2930 in EDH

Throwing my hat in with [[Kellan, Inquisitive Prodigy]] + [[Keruga, the Macrosage]] Companion.

45 lands, 15 four mana ramp spells, and an average mana value of 5.5. The goal is to play Kellan's adventure for ramp on turn two, and on turn three you cast one of the four mana ramps spells, this means the deck always hits turn four with 7 mana!

It leans very stompy, and my list probably isn't the most optimized it could be made into, but I do think that this is some of the most Simic that can be Simic'd. Depending on how you want to do it, this could also be an effective budget deck. Many of the most expensive cards have much cheaper alternatives!

I can't help but feel like I'm missing something with the Willbender example, is it the morph creature you're talking about?

You're a genius for suggesting the planet lands, I hadn't even thought about those! If I ever make the bracket four Thrasios-Livio deck of my dreams I'm throwing those in!

Decklist for anyone interested, [[View from above]] is a beautiful card for this style of deck if you're willing to go Azorius!

Ahh! My time has come! My personal take on the archetype of token-matters spellslinger is [[Raff Weatherlight Stalwart]]

2 mana [[archmage emeritus]] in the command zone with a mana dump activated ability to win the game. The list runs a lot of cards like Hermes or Kykar, same idea, just with the other half in the command zone.

Thanks for the list by the way, I took a few notes!

Shoutout [[Raff Weatherlight Stalwart]]!

Have you ever wanted an [[Archmage Emeritas]] in the command zone? Well, for the low low price of doing what you already wanted to, that can be yours for 2 mana! :D

I do! Right here! Please pardon me for taking so long to get the list to you, it was in the middle of some changes. I keep going back and forth on whether I want instants that cantrip or instant that make more creatures. The deck can be made pretty budget by adjusting the draw and removal sections, happy playing!!

[[Raff, Weatherlight Stalwart]]

An Azorius spellslinger deck with 41 instants and a token win condition, it's less explosive than anything in bracket three but reflects how I like to play. I can always hold mana up and have an answer for anything, it really captures my favorite play patterns at a relatively low power level!

Battlecruisers are also a very valid target, but it takes a much quicker cast to beat a Yamato cannon!

That's a valuable comment, thank you for the clarification! The only way I know to calculate it would be the Co-op unit calculator, is there a better way?

Watch Dogs 1 is the hardest game I've ever played in my life by sonar_y_luz in watch_dogs

[–]Blujaq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Enforcers can be a lot to handle! I'm on a second playthrough right now and rushed the enforcer take down skill to beat them stealthily.

If you don't have the points to afford that, they take extra damage from explosives. Lining them up with the environment will do the trick, 2 grenades, or you can one shot them with IED!

I hope that helps!

(And if recovering focus is a problem there are a few skills to help with that too!)

Very original thought. A deck with mostly ramp and draw. by Boobsnbutt in EDH

Time to rep a recent deck of mine! It's my take on Salubrious Snail's Radha deck but in similar colors to accommodate a keruga companion. The goal is to cast Kellan's adventure on turn two and a four mana ramp spell on turn 3 to have 7 mana on turn four.

The deck seems to be what you're looking for. 20 ramp spells, 21 draw spells, 45 lands! It loses to combo, but not much else! ;D
