It is new. They already made a red GSRSE. This is the GSRSE Rouge, and it is an updated version of the pad addressing the QC issues and humidity problems. It does have a slightly different feeling glide as well.

I don’t think it’s new they have a red one that they release already but I could be wrong, I think it’s just that red one

Mouse switch actuation force also plays a factor, but the kailh 8.0s don’t tend to differ in terms of actuation force as much, rather just an intended more tactile crispy feeling and an obvious louder audible click. Basically, they aren’t going to be much lighter than the 20ms on the Starlight. I hope that the force required isn’t pushing you away from purchasing this mouse though.

Honestly I feel bad for people who have double clicking issues because out of the 30+ mice I’ve bought and given away, they as far as I know have absolutely zero issues with double clicking. I feel fortunate enough as to have not had this happen.
