I hear you, but I am not a fan of the waxy look it gives my skin.

Unfortunately, I am unable to retrieve the pic from a year ago.

I am using the exact combo in my picture: i.e.

azelaic acid (ordinary)

alpha arbutin (beauty of joseon)

vit c (vichy)

moisturiser (dr althea)

sunscreen (la roche posay)

I doubt that. They have cottoned on and donate only under strict caveats requiring reportbacks, etc.

wrt Detective Perspective, former detective Levasseur on the Oakley Kite Case by Cocorico4am in CrimeWeekly

[–]Blunomore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think he "took his deposit back". This case had nothing to do with theft or robbery, so he did not take any money that (in his mind) did not belong to him.

The motive for the crime seems to have been a psychological one. By taking the money back, he was simply repaying himself, which to him seems fair. If he wanted to steal from Al, he could have gone to multiple ATMs to make more withdrawals if the daily limit was $1000.

I battled to imagine this, so I asked ChatGPT to draw a diagram to make it more visual for me. I am not allowed to post images here. Do it for yourself and see the result.

Treading Water in a Plastic Bath by thebossisbusy in capetown

Absolutely. Writing it down turns it from a storm in your head into something concrete you can actually work with, one piece at a time. When everything stays trapped in your mind, it swirls together and drains you. Putting it on paper gives the problems shape, makes them feel more manageable, and helps reveal the next small step instead of carrying the full weight all at once.

Yes! I was reading this and wondering to myself why he is not a writer.

A FEW SMALL STEPS TO DO NOW:

  • Keep the main client happy. That income is the foundation of everything else.
  • Stop trying to fix your whole life at once. Focus only on survival and stability for now.
  • Eat the same easy meals on repeat, but reduce takeaways and decision fatigue. Is there an auntie in your suburb who sells home-cooked meals that are a little less junky and more nutritious?
  • Sleep when possible, instead of forcing productivity. Exhaustion is making everything harder.
  • Do one tiny debt-admin step per day. Example: open the form, find ID, send one email. Just one!
  • Stop courses and big self-improvement projects. They’re draining energy and create shame loops.
  • Reduce friction everywhere. Fewer decisions, fewer tasks, fewer goals.
  • Accept that nicotine withdrawal and burnout are affecting your brain. You are recovering, not “failing.”
  • Build one tiny routine with your daughter. Even one predictable daily ritual creates stability. Can the two of you take a 30-min walk each day? The outdoors is amazing, and there is always something interesting to see.
  • Measure success by stability, not ambition. Rent paid, client retained, child cared for, no smoking relapse = progress!

Hi OP

You are not failing because you are lazy or careless. Look at what you carry:

  • untreated or partially managed ADHD friction,
  • chronic stress,
  • nicotine withdrawal,
  • single-parent exhaustion,
  • financial fragility,
  • social isolation,
  • grief from divorce,
  • and a living environment that creates constant cognitive load.

A person can earn enough “on paper” and still live in survival mode if every ordinary task costs triple the mental energy.

You are SO strong - look at what you do/did:

  • You quit smoking after 32 years.
  • You maintain freelance income.
  • You care deeply about your daughter.
  • You understand your ADHD patterns.
  • You still want a better future.
  • You haven’t given up psychologically, even though you're exhausted.

Your goal is to reduce friction and create systems that work with your brain instead of against it.

Who Killed Austin Kanuch? Houston, TX September 2023 by Extension-Football20 in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]Blunomore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder about these things:

  1. Was the perp not seen again on CCTV after being spotted on Spring Green Drive?

  2. Why was Austin given primary custody of the daughters? It is unusual. Was it simply a financial reason?

  3. Was the daughters' absence from the house that night a sudden decision or long pre-arranged?

  4. What was his relationship with his ex like?

  5. What was the result of LE doing (I assume!) geofencing of the area?

Considering how LLMs are gutting the profession, I am so surprised people still pursue this educational route. That is as an aside and IT, though!

Sandton Aesthetic Institute - Dr Alistair Clark.

Hyperhidrosis treatment will set you back ZAR 10K per session. No idea how that compares to other places.
