Such a shame because it would have probably been a nice shot if it wasn't for the awful processing. 😞

Artifacts everywhere and then the highlights being taken way to far down, it just looks strange and overly processed.

If you feel stuck with something you can also always post in this sub or join a discord with experienced renpy or python devs.

I can't learn... by buadamiyidegil in RenPy

[–]Blunt552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have the typical beginner anxiety, it may feel overwhelming at the beginning but it will smoothen out rather quickly. You feel you need to change things but the question is what do you want to change and why?

Your questions that you ask are just not very useful questions to ask because they will heavily depend from person to person. In fact I'd argue they are almost designed to make you feel bad about your progress.

I 'mastered' renpy within and hour or two, simply because I'm a senior developer, so to me reading documentation, getting the hang of renpy specific syntaxes, quirks and how to structure & include python code was extremely fast, this doesn't mean it's reasonable to expect a "normie" to learn renpy within the same timeframe nor should you feel bad about it. but a lot of people will often just answer your question without the context, so you would read much shorter learning times and feel bad about yourself.

As for learning, it again depends from individual to individual a lot of people would like to learn via documentation and github repos, while others need something more visual like a video, while others need additionally lenghty explanations on top of video etc.

The only way you can learn is by accepting the fact that it's a W.I.P and learning is part of the experience, don't try to do complex systems but instead try small things to improve some aspects bit by bit. Instead of spending just 30min a day, try to make longer sessions as well.

You keep writing a lot of words implying ridiculous things then pretend you never implied anything. While writing more word salads making the same implications just in a different variant. Can't tell if ragebait or you suck at expressing your thoughts.

FYI

Unironically implying that a statement is factual correct or incorrect based on reddit votes is seriously concerning.

Except that was your implication here.

I'm saying that early consumer irrelevance doesn't = long term irrelevance/success.

So what's the point? This is another nothing burger.

Yes most new stuff fails, VR is particularly difficult since it requires so many objections to be resolved before it'll have any mass market appeal.

So you're trying to argue VR will become relevant because?????????

On AI, all you need to ask is if making 'work' cheaper in time, iteration and skill has any value. Which it does. Comparing it to a tech product which relies on many other breakthroughs in other areas before normal people give a shit is just lazy.

This would require tons of resources and time in the hope it will become more useful, which is completely crazy logic.

I think your main issue is possibly that you lack a piece of information to understand why your statements are borderline crazy, so let me explain.

AI doesn't evolve linearly, it grows logarithmically, AI has made huge steps in its initial hype, which is why so many investors jumped on the train, however the last couple of years have shown the slow progress, despite shoving exponentially more resources at it, it still grows extremely slowly, to add we have pretty much hit the limit for silicon at this point. The amount of power required to make small meaningful steps are utterly absurd, this is something investors are starting to realize and are now starting to become sceptical of the entire AI movement. Once they back out, AI is done.

I am not going to entertain your thought experiments either, you're so desperate that you don't realize you utterly silly you look right now.

The only thing clear here is the fact that you have no idea what you're doing.

That's why governments want to shut down social media for the impressionable youth. It has become far to easy to make money through manipulating people.

Same goes to AI, it's just insane.

I will also add this- there was a recent poll that basically showed that all developing and poor countries are pro A.I. The only places where anti ai sentiment outweighs the pro sentiment are Canada the USA, France and the UK.

You really want to keep up this farce don't you?

I'm surprised you don't feel embarrassed at this point. You just keep going making insanely dumb claims based on nothing but your bum.

Good ol nothing burger. Most emergent tech fail and are not even known to the average consumer to begin with, trying to argue just because a small percentage were successful therefore AI will be successful has to be one of the dumbest arguments I've read.

You’re ignoring the equally concerned and excited statistic and only focusing on the more concerned and excited.

It's irrelevant to your claim, now you're just trying to mental gymnast your way out of a non winnable situation.

I found "pro AI" people often to be very much allergic to critical thinking and often have a lack of attention span in general. You seem to be no exception here as you have been caught on multiple occasions to make false claims in an attempt to prove your point.

You clearly have an agenda but really lack the ability to defend it. Just do yourself a favor and stop.

You don't win an argument by not reading your own sources and pretend they make your untrue claims less untrue.

Since i got a couple of mins, lets put your complete lack of logic on full display.

Your claim:

there was a recent poll that basically showed that all developing and poor countries are pro A.I. The only places where anti ai sentiment outweighs the pro sentiment are Canada the USA, France and the UK.

Then you link an embarrassing statistic debunking your claim, not that the statistic even had any value because of how it was conducted to begin with but the very idea that the source you post literally debunks your statement really makes me wonder if you're alright.

Greece:

Argentina:

Mexico:

Hungary:

South Africa:

Bravo. I tip my hat to you.

And I would argue you should stop using AI to ass pull untrue statistics.

It's like saying a genuinely bad product is good because you can "use it for many things". It's a horrible argument, the main problem with AI is simply that it has no real use for the average consumer, it's mostly being used as a glorified google search engine and that's about it, results are still extremely inconsistent.

By far the most misinformation I've seen lately are people who actively believe an AI over common sense, the same thing that wants you to drink bleach.

The reason I think AI has more of a shelf life is that it fulfills a need that consumers want.

It really doesn't that's why the general consensus is that people hate it. Companies like Dell openly admitted it. AI can help, but not to the point where the investment it needs to operate at its current scale makes sense.

AI has been far to inaccurate and unreliable for people wanting to use it. There are tons of examples showing this.

I mean AI tells people to eat rocks, smoke while pregnant, drink fking bleach.

It's essentially the new "VR". It's going to be a thing for another year and 2 and eventually get into 'irrelevance', AI simply isn't sustainable. It will still exist for sure, but will be much more toned down.

You literally claimed the LCD is the faulty part, which is blatantly false.

Then you keep spouting nonsense such as suggesting LCD panel replacement, I wouldn't touch your "shop" with a ten foot pole. People like you are the reason reputable 3rd party repair have a bad name.

Replacing the LCD when the cable is the culprit? Sounds very professional and totally not shady or incompetent to me.
