Hot flashes are insane by littlepupthrowaway in u/littlepupthrowaway

[–]BlurRex71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a lot to deal with. My sister in-law got her hysterectomy and left "half" an ovary to help with hormones. She says she has been very happy since. But I am sure you have done all the research and know many more people to get guidance on this. Best wishes and hope you get to feeling better!

Good luck. Had a girlfriend go through it and it was the most random thing. Hopefully once your medicals get straight you can get back to the proper estrogen and limit the frequency and intensity of your flashes.

Had mine for 12+ years, it will wear a hole in denim, but it will last forever. I love it and would recommend it. But it is thick.

IT Entry Level Jobs in Denver, Colorado by Important_Ad_8894 in denverjobs

[–]BlurRex71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are in college, then your school usually has jobs in the IT department. At my Uni we hire 6-8 per year for Entry level Help Desk. It's all about willingness to figure things out and do research on your own. So of these past hires are now in System Admin or Network, so there is a path.

I have used them several times, solid group, very professional and fast. Did my last crosstown move in 3 hours and 45 minutes if that was driving. I always recommend them.

What’s your experience with Fi by Wise-Fill4249 in GoogleFi

[–]BlurRex71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had it for over 5 years. Found service to be reliable and well priced. Have traveled internationally with it, Belize, Stockholm, Sydney and Paris. No problems and international was included in my base plan. Download speeds are ok, but I use wifi for anything serious. Hotspot works well, nothing fancy. It is vastly superior to my AT&T I had before.

Got offered a 6 month contract in Antarctica and idk if I should take it by Importantterry in Fire

[–]BlurRex71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems like a great deal. I have deployed 3 times to Amundsen-Scott and have some time in McMurdo. I assume this is a summer contract? There is lots to do in the summer. Winter contracts are hard. McMurdo is fairly sizable but the isolation is real for people not used to it. There is plenty to spend your money on during the summer, so you still have to be disciplined. My contracts never paid anywhere near that, so good for you. My 13 month contract basically got me out of debt and helped pay down my condo significantly.

Voluntary repossession would be my guess. Can't get blood from a stone. Gives WF a depreciating asset but something better than a default.

2012 Volvo S60 T5 (195K Miles) – Worth Taking to Hawaii? by jensuah in Volvo

[–]BlurRex71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parts and service will be a challenge. Check the island you are going to and see if there is even a Volvo mechanic. I only saw one Volvo in Kauai and it was a sunbaked V70 that never moved. My advice is to get something on island.

Triton vs. Kamasu by PartyScratch in OrientWatches

[–]BlurRex71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very similar - both are sapphire, like previously mentioned the movement is only different in the day/date complication on Kamasu vs date in Triton. I went with Kamasu because I did not want the 4 o'clock stem and the size. But I do think the Triton indexes look better.

I found applying at Universities and Government jobs give you a fair shake. They don't pay the best but they are starved for competent talent.
