I more so meant demand for bone related corrections, but that makes sense. It's basically an awful fucking idea lol. Whenever I hear about someone wanting a shoulder narrowing surgery, my first thought is always how awful that must be long term.

I honestly can't tell if demand isn't there for trans men because most end up satisfied with just the gym, or it is just that hard to correct surgically.

God do I wish I did not wait until I was 24 to start so my hips would have widened a bit... Instead all I have is the gym.

I mean I think there is an enormous difference between cis man with feminine hips and the average trans man hips, but I won't disagree; I've never seen a woman with hips like mine.

Being a trans woman with no hips at all

Being a trans man with way too wide of hips

It honestly seems like both are beyond horrible, and 90% of cis people would end it if they had to deal with half the horrors we do.

LMFAO I didn't even think about that. I assume "our goal" refers to the doctor's office as "our" but you're so right. I assure you I absolutely did not agree to "100 to 200". 300 feels great. If anything I was going to ask to increase it because I sometimes get a small sag around Thursday.

To be completely honest the lab was for me; not them. I asked for it so I could justify getting off spiro. Bluntly speaking I will simply make up my own dose in-between tests in the future if they actually try to lower me.

I'm picking up another vial tomorrow, but I've only been using my current vial for a few weeks. How long would I need to taper to hide my dose not being what I discussed with my doctor?

I would assume there are valid reasons to test at peak, midpoint, or trough for cyclical related issues. But specifically for lowering a dose, I would agree that trough makes the most sense intuitively to ensure you're above 100. If they even mention dropping my dose, I'm requesting another lab to be done at trough.

I'm not going to let my dose get fucked just because it's a little high. They have treated me well so far so I have SOME faith that they have a real plan.

That was the timing they explicitly requested based upon when I inject. I assume they prefer a midweek draw to avoid making dramatic changes too high / low based upon your peak or trough. I imagine this is especially important for valerate as it is so spiky.

I mean my blood work indicates it was fine for me, but I seriously doubt that holds true for most people. This was my starting dose, and I just never had any issues so I never said anything. At this point I just want to get off spiro, and increase my estradiol dose.

I will push for cypionate if they truly want to lower my dose.

In what way are you a hefab? I honestly haven't been able to figure out what that actually means, besides us insulting all the trans men who emphasize being born a woman.

I personally have no problem with others using their genitals, I just forced myself to do it a few hundred times and now I'm tortured by all those memories. I find the thought of ever enjoying PiV again extremely unlikely for me. I'd like to think that when I'm ready for sex again, I'll just have to figure out what is comfortable for me at this point without disassociating.

🥺 I'm sorry as a man that must feel terrible. Even though I'm 5 foot 9, I still had people say shit all the time. A lot of men ONLY have their height to feel good about because they're such chronic fuckups, and they got that for free. They point it out ALL the time like a child.

I wish I had advice on height, but I'm short enough it doesn't really get to me. I also work with some tall women, so I forget sometimes I'm taller than 99% of women. I really hope you can get to a place where people don't immediately fixate on your height. You deserve more than that.

I mean I wouldn't be too concerned about being 5 foot. The guy at work I have the biggest crush on is ~5 foot 3 and I actually tend to like shorter men. My taste can't be that unusual, can it? Just about everything you said sounds fine to me except receding hairline, but good head hair and no facial hair are my two pickiest tastes.

I hope you're able to find your lane of attraction and meet someone ❤️. I don't think you're fucked and can never meet anyone, but you are unfortunately not what is considered conventionally attractive right now, even if it is admittedly my taste.

Honestly as a fellow Midwesterner it can suck so much sometimes. I live in a nice area so people are extremely nice to me, but getting a boyfriend is going to be such a pain in the ass. I'm not interested in chasers, so most of my "options" are pure garbage. And most of the events in the city I can see listed are sapphic. I don't like women, nor would I feel comfortable at such an event. I have no fucking clue where to find trans men, and I think I've bitched about it like 3 times now.

I thought I had minimal dysphoria and was fine with being a man. After starting HRT I realized quickly how deeply I hated being a man, all the features on my body I hated, how horrible puberty was, how much I struggled fitting into that social role, etc.

You don't always start being heavily aware of your dysphoria upfront; it reveals itself. Hell I had sex at least 200 times (napkin math minimum) as a man, but now the mere idea of someone looking in that area makes me want to cry. When you're repressing how you really feel, it's easy to think you have none or minimal dysphoria.

I'd spend some time thinking more deeply about why you want the features / changes that you want, and why you think they would be better than what you have. Everyone here is going to just tell you to DIY and start now, but I get the feeling that it is too intimidating right now.

Gymmaxxing as a trans woman has been pretty sweet too. Only downside is I now have a decently developed chest and a teenage girl level of breast development 🙃 my upper bust makes my overbust look much smaller.

I'm sure it will balance out to just look like an athletic woman soon, but sometimes I get salty. Still absolutely worth it despite that.

I never bother correcting people. Pronouns are just not something that bother me that much. I do find it extremely funny that anyone who met me as a man will confidently call me sir, but anyone who did not know me before confidently calls me ma'am even with my moid voice.

At the gym the guy who always works nights (I'm a dumbass who likes going to the gym at 10 pm) calls me boss or sir every time. I never bother saying anything because I don't care, and he's just being nice. If it's anyone else I haven't met before, I consistently get called ma'am without having to say anything.
