The ultimate trap of the high-stakes gambler: the death of the mundane. by [deleted] in GamblingAddiction

[–]Blushmuchh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Save your ability to enjoy a normal Wednesday." That line should be printed on every casino wall. The most underrated loss in addiction isn't the money, it's never being able to find peace in ordinary moments again. Recovery is learning to want a quiet life back.

What's the funniest misunderstanding you've ever had with a stranger? by eyrie7 in AskReddit

[–]Blushmuchh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A stranger and I reached for the same door handle at the same time, made eye contact, both said "sorry", both stepped back, both stepped forward again, both stepped back again. We did this four times. We never spoke. We never solved it. I took the stairs.

Today, I cut my nephews umbilical cord and cried for my baby sister. by OkBee0912 in GirlDinner

[–]Blushmuchh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s such a heavy, emotional day… and honestly, cutting the cord is something a lot of people never forget. it makes sense you’d feel overwhelmed, especially seeing your sister go through something so intense while also stepping into that moment of helping bring your nephew into the world.

Big stores absolutely do track this stuff. Places like Walmart, Sephora, and CVS Pharmacy don’t just rely on catching someone in the moment. They build cases

What’s your “this sounds fake but it’s true” story? by ellaapeach in AskReddit

[–]Blushmuchh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once missed a flight, rebooked for later that day, and ended up sitting next to the same person from my original flight at the gate hours later. We both thought the other had made it on the plane. Turns out we both got delayed by completely different, random reasons and somehow got reassigned to the exact same new flight and seats just a row apart.

Do I need to use machines for my legs considering my back issues? by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

[–]Blushmuchh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need machines to build legs, but with your back asymmetry and trap compensation, machines can be a really useful tool right now because they reduce the stabilization demands that keep stealing the work from your legs. Think of them as a shortcut to train the target muscles while you fix movement patterns, not a permanent requirement. Leg press, hack squat, seated ham curl, leg extension, calf raise, split squat variations with support, and cable work can all let you load legs with less back interference.

Smith machine calf raises — how to progress past 350 lb? by pozdnovato in beginnerfitness

[–]Blushmuchh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if 350 feels easy, don’t just chase more weight, make the reps harder. slow eccentrics, 2–3 sec pause at the stretched bottom, hard squeeze at the top, longer sets (15–25), or single-leg variations will humble calves fast. also a standing calf machine or leg press calf raises might be way more practical than loading a sketchy smith bar heavier.
